Sorry to hear the news. If I remember correctly you just got married or are planning a wedding so maybe the silver lining is that you get more time to spend with your wife/fiance! I know how it feels though as I look for a new job almost twice a year and with this economy things are tough. If you're selling any Dodgers stuff please let me know and I'll make sure and give you top dollar.

Hang in there.

Man that sucks. Make sure you apply for unemployment benefits while you search for a new job! I heard they'll pay you half of what you used to earn on a weekly basis.

With all due respect, I am sure Matt knows about unemployment benefits.

In Florida, UEB are capped at $275 per week...which is quite a bit less than half of what a lot of people make on a weekly basis.

Sorry to hear about this, Matt. Join the Club, I guess.

I have a friend that is a recruiter at K-Force, and he has not placed one person since early December.

Try to stay positive.

My wife lost her job in September of last year, and she was making more than I was. She's not even looking any more. I have decided to make it work with her at home with the kids.

Gotta do what you gotta do, you know?

I suppose if the Mayans were correct, I can catch up on sleep in 2012.

Somehow that first line in bold makes the second bolded line a lot harder to accept.

Regardless, Matt hang in there and possibly start looking at things you can do for yourself, IE: your individual skills, etc. and go into business for yourself. It's times like this when entrepreneurs succeed.

Matt, sorry to hear this terrible news. The bolded statement below though is well said. Just from reading your posts you seem like a very intelligent guy. I have faith things will get better for you real quick.

Guys,

Thank you for the kind words! I really do appreciate them all.

I am actually at the office today for the last time, and trying to help my partners be more successful in the future.

I am going to have a tough time selling off a big chunck of my collection, but it is needed at this point. BigFan, i will get back to you about Dodgers stuff, not sure what I have other than Elbert.
