The Cahill Gold Ref Auto, Derek Holland and Angel Villalona Blue Autos looked absolutely fine to me, under 10X magnification. These three hurt more than anything. I was also bummed that the Porcello auto didn't get a 10. I don't believe it had anything wrong with it.

Hum....a lot of base chrome cards. Any reason? It is getting more and more difficult to earn a decent return on a base chrome (non-autograph) even if it grades out a 9.5.

They were pulled from packs and just taking up space in my 3200 ct boxes, so I figured why not. Plus, I needed a minimum of 50 cards to qualify for their Report Card Special.

I'm sure he is smart enought to cash in when the time is right.

For starters, I don't see Hanson in that order.

Second, I didn't say it was impossible....I said, "It is getting more and more difficult..." to make a decent profit.

Sorry to hear this JP. I haven't been sending anything in to BGS lately as I've noticed a lot of inconsistency with their grading. For example, last year I sent in a Bowman Chrome Blue Refractor Brett Gardner #/150 and it didn't meet minimum grade. I then listed it on eBay when he was called up last year and sold it to nldclark. A couple months later I see MY card (same serial #) in his auctions with a BGS 9.5!?!?! WTF?!?!?!

Just noticed that my Holland Blue Ref Auto came within .5 of a 9.5. God, I hate when that happens.

You may not see Hanson, but you see players with an equal or better hobby ceiling. Obviously its difficult to make a profit. It's difficult to make a profit on anything in this hobby if the player isn't hot.

I wonder if Beckett Grading gives all recognizable FreedomCardBoard members' submissions to Darth Grader on purpose, so he can impose his wrath on us for our mass exodus from Beckett's crappy message board.
I'm not really serious, and the graders are not supposed to see whose cards they're grading.
But I'm sure Beckett's message board people hate us with a passion and have friends who are BGS graders.

So do I. I own 2 of the 10 of these, and one of them I bought without the case it came in from the factory, so I decided to send it in. Looked absolutely perfect both to the nakid eye and under magnification...and it ended up getting a 9 overall with two 9.5 and two 9 subgrades. Really annoying as it's about a fifty-one hundred dollar difference (if not more), come sell time.

A couple of the nicer cards you sent ended up being 9.5s though, coulda been worse at least.

Here's the card-
