I think my proudest collecting moment was finishing my NM 1970 Topps.I ended up building three 1970 sets in the process of making my NM set from constant upgrading.

Not giving into the temptation of selling it all to use the money for bigger and better things...

Thats a tough one, but if I had to choose one, guess it would be tracking down 4 of the 6 Ginter Wood 1/1 for Cuddyer, if I ever find the other 2, I will be blown away!

Individually I would just say how far I've gotten with my entire Denard Span collection and the motivation I still have to keep picking up cards that I need. As for completing a set I would say finishing the 2011 Topps Diamond set. I had never attempted to do any type of parallel set before and although it took long to finish (about a year), I was very very happy when I could finally get the last card in!

Giving up baseball cards cold turkey when the Topps monopoly began.

Completing a 2010 Elite Extra Edition set including the autos that are part of the set along with a complete set of Franchise Futures autos. Finding some of the autos #'d to 99 was brutal.

Building a player collection worthy of being a published super collector. Before I started back in 2009, I would have never contemplated a player collection at all.

I got into collecting about 2 years ago because my sons were starting to collect. I am most proud of the fact that it allows me to spend quality time w/ them and has created a very unique bond between us.

I think this is the best post in here. I think my dad had a huge influence on my card collecting, he always would buy me packs and stuff. He also has binders of card that while growing up I was not allowed to look at or touch. Then I turned 13 (im 17 now) and was finally allowed to look at them because I would be responsible with them (there is nothing that great in there but it curiosity was strong lol) So then he got out of collecting but encouraged me to continue SO i did and im glad I did. Had I not joined this site I would be out of collecting anything and would just be bored all the time, it would allow me more time to work on my photography though.

Great responses so far.

I'm very proud of my entire collection but there are very few people outside of the internet who know about it. I'm happy to have kept my focus on Topps Heritage stuff for 8 years. Complete chrome sets up to 2012, complete refractor sets up to 2011, ~500 different Heritage autos, ~950 different black refs. And I'm proud to actually collect them and keep them, haven't sold off a single PC card except for a rough patch in 2006.
