I like a lot of the ideas. My thoughts:

Get rid of Bowman altogether. No more prospect cards. First time you see a guys first card will be in the base topps and it will help drive the demand for base rookies. Because as of now, when you see the rc logo, it's probably a 3rd or 4th year card. They want to be fidgity on the rc stuff, cool. Kill bowman production altogether. Honestly, I'd be happy as hell if they did this. Sorry guys...

No more redemptions. If you don't have it in hand, don't even advertise it.

Verify totally where all GU stuff has come from, state where it was purchased and what game(s) it was used in. Specify whether it was player issued or player worn. And from anything that is of a current player actually playing in the sport, all items must be obtained from the team or the league. No outside auction houses or whatnot. No outside suppliers. If it's a retired player, only one of the few reputable auction houses may be used and it must be stated(as said above) on the back of the card. In fact all of this needs to be on the back of the card. MLB and MLBPA could actually mandate topps do this. They really could. It could be in the contract that they give topps. Kinda odd it hasn't been mandated already. This fishiness keeps happening surrounding the GU stuff, it might actually happen.

And lastly, I would like all of the scheming, whining, crying, jaded, bitter people who use this hobby to make money to leave. For good. I know this will never happen but it irritates me to no end that you can walk into a shop and see an owner or worker there who really knows the hobby but is so bitter, or thinks it's so stupid to even collect anything, that they just leave a bad taste in your mouth from even being around them too long. Or that pulls all kind of crap just to make a buck. You can literally walk into a shop and see people lying, or trying to pull some crap. People chastising others for what they collect or buy. This is the only hobby I know of where a collector can go to a shop and be screwed with for buying something from said shop by the owner of said shop. That in and of itself is ridiculous. If it bothers you so much, there are plenty of other business ventures you can go into.
