And then there's about 14 Mitch Abeita auto's that haven't gone anywhere yet. I suck at prospecting.

Everyone is always showing off stashes of prospects who are on fire or on the rise, but you never hear much about the stashes that never worked out. Kind of like the gambler who never tells you when he loses $1000 only when he wins $500.
Here is mine. Started buying up Jeffress stuff when I got back into the hobby about 5+ years ago, and I am still waiting for a glimmer of success for this kid so I can dump some of his stuff.
I actively collect Jeffress, so you're not the only one holding onto his stuff. I just do it for my Jeremy collection, though, so it's not like I'm really prospecting his stuff. Same thing with Jeremy Barfield from 2011 Bowman (although I did well grabbing Jeremy Hellickson 2006 Chromes for 10¢ before he came up!).
My worst prospecting experience happened back in 1993, when I was buying Kirk Reuter RCs for well over BV. I remember paying $8 for his Select R/T RC, back when it was the hottest card on the market. You can probably buy all of them that were ever made fo $8 now.
So many people thought Wendell would be a star. Sigh.... Main just went backwards.Nick1190 said:Michael Main and Wendell Fairley too name a few.

I will trade you a box of 80s and 90s commons for it. Then you can say you found payton rcs and other awesome vintage in there.
I can only accept 1990 Fleer Baseball commons for it right now. They're my main stash. Holler if you have any.CollectorsCorner said:Mr.1989 said:Hey, if you want an autographed ball of his, I have one. You collect Jeremy Barfield? I wish I'd have known that, I just sold the Red 1/1 that I pulled last month!
