I wonder if Wes still has his monster stash. I think he was going to keep buying if prices dropped.

Just for fun, Montero homered off Jered Weaver AGAIN today. He's got 4 homers in something like 9 career at bats against him. He owns him. That is ridiculous

Pineda's troubles aside, I really think the Yanks misjudged Montero and blew that trade.

Montero is
.311/.340/.468 with 9 HR & 33 RBI away from Safeco.

Imagine if he had the cozy confines of Yankee Stadium for his other 50% of at-bats.

Russel Martin has 10 HR at Yankee Stadium and 4 on the road while hitting .195 on the season.

Obviously the Yanks would love to have Montero right now, but with the way Pineda looked last season and questions the Yanks had about the rotation, I don't know that you have to assume they misjudged Montero. They might just have felt it was worth it for Pineda.

Now I think we have it... Play Jesus Montero vs the Rockies, Royals, Giants, Rangers and Jered Weaver... on the Road... vs Lefties only.... in the month of July and bench him the rest of the season and he'd be insane!!!!!
