I know many people on these boards are sitting on a TON of lower end prospects, or more unknown prospects.

Who are you sitting on stashes of that you are looking for a nice upturn in 2011? Or you are HOPING, BEGGING, and PLEADING for and uptick in 2011?

Here are a couple of mine.

Jorge Bucardo - two good years, and he is dirt cheap. I think a good year in double A should help

David Holmberg - was the White sox top pitching prospect pre-season last year, got traded to the D-Backs. I am interested to see how he does in the midwest league this year.

Scott Elbert - I am PLEADING for a good year from this once top prospect

Eric Hurley - Same as Elbert. Have already sold of some, but have a Ton

So who are you sitting on??

Totally agree on Bucardo. He doesn't get the love he deserves.

JUst picked this up for peanuts

Brooks Brown...

I think the great thing about these prospects is they are never too old to increase in value...Unfortunately some of the guys mentioned in this thread have been around in the hobby for 5 - 7 years...I think they have to do a lot more to increase in value as opposed to a guy like Arenado, Davidson, Thompson, Kepler etc. who are all cheap but "new"...

I think that a guy really has 3 years tops before his card is worth moving unless he's become a solid regular in the MLB...After 3 years, he has to do huge things to increase in value...

Jaff Decker- When he was healthy he seems that he could have some serious power.
Simon Castro- His redemptions were so cheap and I have already 2x the money back then I had invested into him so if those move up at all its pure profit.

Aryodis Vizcaino- Even though he isnt too cheap at 20$ a refractor they could double by seasons end,

I agree. Decker put up some monster numbers when healthy. Hoping for a healthy and productive 2011. Too bad his redemptions dried up, can't wait until Topps ships them.

Another one is Jordan Lyles. I have so many of his RAZOR Autos it's ridiculous. I know at least a couple other guys on here who think he's primed for big things.

Hey now. No time to give up. Kyle Skipworth is going to kill me though.

Another guy for me is Wilin Rosario. I think he is an absolute stud and one of the top three catching prospects in the minors.

I am looking forward to another good year from him

I actually held onto a few cards when I sold off most my collection last spring with hopes they make a Major League debut

Jeremy Hefner - Strikeouts have dipped a bit the last 2 seasons
Alexander Torres - Had another great season last year, cannot find any of his 2009 Chrome stuff anymore, only 2010. :(

Same here on Torres. His 2009 stuff is impossible to find. I did find a gold ref a few months back for $17. Had to snap it up since i can't find anything else.

Low priced now compared to 3-4 years ago, Cody Johnson.
Here's from here in Panama City and is now in the Yankees farm system.

I still have boatloads of Mike McDade, but he had a decent year last year, and is still young. And still strikes out a lot.
Reynaldo Navarro, however, is probably not going to pan out.

Well Dutchj16 Said it for me i have a ton(20+) of Razor auto's of Skipworth. I busted a couple case of that stuff and was haunted by him!

The Other Pull I was haunted by was Quinton Miller for the pirates: 08 Sterling(10 base auto's 3 ref's and 1 gold ref) 09 Bowman(3 gold ref 1 blue ref 6 base) and an aflac from 08 I snagged a few auto's of his for $1-3 figuring If he did anything or got traded I could flip him.

I was Haunted by those two that winter. Oh Well at least I didn't buy High on them. ::facepalm::

Shhh Noah Syndergaard

Definite wild card there. Meteoric rise up draft boards last spring. The one thing I like best about him is that he can maintain his velocity into later innings from various reports. Still a long ways away though. Hopefully he starts in full season ball.

A few sleepers I am hoping for are....

Chris Carter:(A's)Huge power...made great adjustments from AA to AAA then got off to a slow start in AAA as well as a nice 0-32 start in the majors. He is still ROY eligible and should be in the starting lineup on opening day.

Kaleb Cowart: I love his overall game, I am glad the Angel's are going to see what he can do with the bat...his tools and makeup are off the charts. He is the biggest sleeper in BCDP IMO.

Stetson Allie: Anyone who has Allie's size and can hit 101 on the radar gun at 18 has my attention. If this kid develops his secondary pitches look out!

Wendell Fairley-- Back in 2008, a choice between him or some guy name Jason as the next power bat, guess who I picked to hold and who to sell... ::facepalm::

Same boat. It's too bad he only hit 1 HR while in San Jose last year in home run friendly Cal League. And he hit it away.

I spoke to you, Lisa, in the past about Fairley, but I can tell you I am EXTREMELY glad to have moved all I had of him (a bunch of color up to Gold, with some nice graded stuff as well), without losing much on the investment whatsoever (sold to a Giants fan who still had hope in him prior to last season).

I really want to know where all of his power went though, he looked like a stud in the making.

As for the topic at hand Skrip, no one....yet.

I have a decent paypal stash I could pump into a prospect or two, just to get back into the prospecting game. Been over two years since I actively bought any prospects, would give me something to do during these boring (and slow) Afghani winter months.

Vance Worley

I've been following him for the past 2 years. He got called up last year with the Phillies. Made a couple relief appearances. Then made a start the second to last game against the Braves. Pitched 5 innings and gave up one hit that could have been caught by Domonic Brown. He has a very good shot at taking Kyle Kendricks spot in the rotation (as long as the Phillies can find a new home for Joe "Pancake" Blanton). Hoping for a Phillies rotation of Halladay, Lee, Oswalt, Hamels, Worley!
