Watching Pedro Martinez absolutely dominate in the late 90's early 2000's is what I immediately thought of. His 2000 season was probably in the top 5 greatest seasons ever pitched. Take into account all the guys juicing during this period and it makes it more impressive.
Of course Verlander and Chapman are awesome to watch.
I also loved watching those Cuban guys (El Duque, Livian and Contreras) go at it. The way they changed their arm angles and speeds of the pitches was brilliant.
Although I already posted in this thread (with Dwight Gooden as my choice), I really feel bad for all the young people on here that never got a chance to see Nolan Ryan pitch. As great as his fastball was, when he had his devastating 12-6 curveball working, he was unhittable, as evidenced by his 7 no hitters and 12 one hitters. If you ever get a chance to watch one of his no hitters (they replay them sometimes on MLB network and ESPN Classic), be sure to watch.
