Ichiro on a slow start with a .247 average hoping its gonna start rising.
Darvish is on fire his kille pitches 1.65 E.R.A. 49 strike outs and a 4-1 record.

Whos your favorite Japanese baseball player today?
Norichika Aoki, Yu Darvish, Ichiro, Hisashi Iwakuma, or someone else????

he is getting old though so I dont see anymore .300 due to diminished speed to get infield hits and slower reflexes+unorthodox swing = trouble.

on the flip side Ichiro is usually a slow starter. I believe the year he broke the hits record his April ba. was .240...

ichiro will pick it up. matsui was my favorite asian player. yanks just signed him to a one day contract so he could retire a yank. there going to have a day for him later this year at the stadium. i am glad for him. in 2009 world series he raked.

Ichiro is actually starting to pick it up a bit. A week ago he was batting .200. He's hit .363 in his past 6 games so hopefully this trend continues.

My favorite Japanese player was obviously Matsui. It was sad to see him go after winning the 09 WS MVP, but at least he was able to get a ring.

Nothing special with Darvish. He's just pitching like he did in Japan. He's just freaking awesome. Just took a season to settle in.

Aoki might be my favorite Brewer at the moment, really fun to watch. All-time is definitely still Ichiro. He was one of the most exciting guys I've ever seen and definitely "a guy I'd pay to see"

Ichiro up to .263

Pretty amazing how poorly he hit in April in 04 to rack up that many hits.

Edit - up to .268

Darvish is an outstanding pitcher. I don't see any Japanese talent in America better than his at this current time.

I have a feeling Ichiro will end up with way more hits than most expect.. he is going to have Clemens/Favre syndrome for sure.
