White Sox fans, what's going on with Jake Peavy? I haven't seen any video of him this year. Has he lost zip off his fastball? Does he not pitch well in cold weather?

Probably went South when I guaranteed he'd win AL CY Young award. My bad. But it's hasn't cursed Halladay (yet).

The American League and not being in Petco is what's going on with Peavy.

AL may be harder to pitch, but I am not sure if that's the main reason for Peavy's struggles. His fastball was sitting at 91 and could not spot any pitches and walked 7 batters. I am sure more than a handful of NL pitchers can do better than that.

Petco nor the AL has anything to due with the lack of velocity or the elevated number of walks. It is lack of strength and control, issues from his time on the DL last year. The WS new he was a risk when they acquired him, he just needs more time.
