I was born in NYC, moved to Roanoke, VA when I was 10. Joined the USAF in 1982 and moved around alot until I retired in 2006. I now live in Panama City, Florida and love it here!!

24 years, I'm working on 6 years in the military. What did you do and what did you retire as?

I was born in Columbia, SC and lived there most of my life (lived in Tulsa, OK and Houston, TX for a little while) until I moved to Fayetteville, NC in October of 2006.

I was in the Financial Management career field and retired as a MSgt. Been stationed in the U.K., Arkansas, Alaska, Texas, South Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, Washington D.C. and Florida. 6 years down for you, do yourself a favor and stick around for the remaining 14, PLEASE!!! Yeah, I'm biased but it's definitely the best career move I've ever made.

Went to college in Menomonie, WI, about 1 hr. east of the Twin Cities (MNSP)

Moved back to Madison, where I live now.

How do you like living in Mad Town? I got a job offer down there, but decided to stay up here (larger offer). I figured I would be partying too much living in a college town.

naw. depending on where you buy a house (assuming it's not downtown), you can segregate yourself from the partying pretty easily. on the other hand, if it's a good time you seek, there are few better party towns in America than Madison when school is in session

Yeah baby the world music theater it was a good place back in the day to see a concert but the traffic sucked all the time.
It was called the tweeter center and now it is call first bank of something now'

Why would you want to move out of sunny SOCAL to northern rainy nocal? Just curious...

IMHO, there's no place in the world better than San Diego!

Main reason: overcrowded

Secondary reason: just like the atmosphere in Northern CA. My gf and I love traveling to SF as much as possible.
Also, I could visit Jack London State Historic Park anytime I felt like it and continue working on my book up there!

League City Texas here.Its about halfway between Houston and the coast.I drive 20 minutes down the highway from my house and hit Galveston.But its(Galveston) mostly a big scum bucket.Its always hot as hell down here.I have been thinking of living up north for a year just to see what its like.

Started out as avionics (325x1, which became 455x1), then I retrained into 2e2x1 (computers).

Was raised in Columbus Ohio. From there joined the Navy and moved around a bit living in upstate NY, Orlando FL, Norfolk VA and Charleston SC. Also lived in Knoxville TN for a little while.

I now live in Hobbs NM. the middle of no where. the closest "big" cities is lubbock TX and Midland odessa which are about 1.5 hours away.
