I'm going to post two pictures of some mixed lots I've picked up recently. First person to find and ID the gems hiding in the piles gets whatever satisfaction and joy you get when you find Waldo.

And go:

I'll take a stab at the one on the left.

It looks like a Mirror Gold Certified parallel near the middle of the pile. It's of an Oriole, maybe Mussina?

It is a Mirror Gold Mussina, but it's a 1995 Certified, not the ones that are /30.

Mantle auto at bottom in first picture? Limited exposure Frank Thomas in the second?

There's one! There's something in the right picture as well, something that you may recognize with your particular interest...

Fun thread! But is it weird that I know what half of these cards are just by a small part showing?

That's how I noticed the Pujols, it was buried but showing just enough of that left edge. My girlfriend laughed at me as I was explaining how I picked it out, but she's just not into cards. That Thomas Leaf, that was like a freakin' billboard to me. Every time I see a 1993 Leaf Thomas, I always check, and always see the black wristband and glove. Nice to finally get one!

When I got my Thomas a few years ago, it was in a top load with a promo sticker. I didn't look at, just bought it.

When I got home, I noticed there was no sample or promo marking on it.

I only paid like a dime or quarter so it didn't matter but I didn't find out until shortly after it is indeed a promo.

How much do I like it? Here's a pic from when I was super collector in Beckett
