There hasn't been one since 1979 on my birthday (March 3)

Scott Radinsky - That's cool because I remember getting alot of his cards as a kid since he was with the Chi Sox.

Other than that, nobody really notable. Heck, he's only notable to me because of my childhood.

Off the top of my head, Felix Hernandez. In terms of events I have one of the biggest:
1974 - In the fourth inning of the Braves home opener against the Dodgers, Hank Aaron parks an Al Downing pitch in the left-center field stands for career home run No. 715, breaking Ruth's once thought to be unapproachable record. With former teammate Eddie Mathews watching as Braves manager, that makes 1,227 home runs for just two players. The Braves win, 7-4.

No notable birthdays, but this was an awesome little story:

1917 - Boston pitcher Babe Ruth starts against Washington. He walks leadoff man Eddie Foster, griping to plate umpire Brick Owens after each pitch. On ball four, Ruth plants a right to the umpire's jaw. He is ejected, and Ernie Shore relieves. Foster is caught stealing, and Shore retires all 26 men he faces in a 4-0 win, getting credit in the books for a perfect game.

Not a birthday, but this is one of the coolest things I've ever read.

My birthday is today. I am 27. Donnie Baseball and the Marlins color guy, Tommy Hutton, also share the day.

Great thread Andy. Some interesting stuff for sure.
