That is the dumbest argument I have ever seen. Maybe for some fans with the intelligence of a pea that might apply. I have a ton of respect for Yankee players that deserve that respect (Rivera, Arod, Posada, Texeira) but Jeter does not belong in that category. I wholeheartedly believe that Jeter is a below average offensive and defensive player and that he does not deserve anywhere near the accolades that he receives.

 When I first typed it out I had written "Yep, it's that shallow" on the end. I know, I have faults
Though in reality, this may not be any more shallow than hating him for the team he plays for!

my most hated player is john rocker

do i really need to say why

then pedro martinez im not too sure how he should have handled the 72 year old charging at him but it looked bad. add to that the stare down where he pointed to his head meaning your next to get one to the noggin
low class and unprofessional.

I have much love for the Rocker and I quite honestly don't understand the hate.

I can't really say that I hate anyone in the bigs, but up until a few weeks ago I did. Thank God that I don't have to watch Curth Schilling on my television anymore. The man litterally destroys my brain cells when I listen to him speak.

I really don't hate any ball players because I don't know them.I may dislike how they play or their attitude on the field but really that's the only thing I try to focus on because if we get into their personal lives I think at some point in time just about everyone of them would end up being a ****** here and there at some point in time.

I dislike the way A.J. Pierzynski handles himself on the field.I think some of his ideas and the way he handles himself are poor and he does pull some bush league crap. But I do respect the fact he is a leader on that team and if he could just handle himself a little better then I would collect his cards and acknowledge the fact he is a good ball player. But for me he has pushed the limit too far for that.

I dislike Preston Wilson because I have honestly seen the man loaf it.Any time I am watching a baseball game I have to pay to see and the people playing are making millions of dollars to play a game there is no reason whatsoever that I should see a player play worse than I could. If this for whatever reason happens then I seriously demand they either bench the guy or they might as well let a fan play for free just to have two things:A guy who is actually happy to be living a dream, and a guy who will give you just as much of a chance to record an out or get a hit as some over paid pri-madonna.There really is no justification for this.

I dislike Manny Ramirez.I respect the man as a great ball player but he is extremely unprofessional and his little stunts are not exactly what I would call endearing. He would be better served if he remained professional while actually playing.I am not going to lie...the man is hilarious but something about people who do not take their job seriously(especially when they make what I do multiplied by like a zillion) leaves a bad taste in my mouth. This in no way has anything to do with him having played in Boston.I actually like Boston. They are a nice anecdote for the Yankees.

I dislike Chris Burke. The man has very little skill in baseball. He should have never made it to the majors. He couldn't hit a cow in the ass with a fiddle nor is he very adept with his glove.Sure everyone gave him a break because he was the man who pulled off the walk off job in that very long game but then again...that's not a free ride for the rest of your career *****.Like I said about Preston...I'd rather see a fan play before I see him play another game.It would be just about the same to me.

I dislike Ozzie Guillen. The man is an ass.Plain and simple. He cannot control his mouth. Many people think I dislike him and A.J. because the astros lost to the white sox in the world series but that could not be further from the truth.I actually love the white sox like I do any other team.In fact the only team I pretty much have little interest in as a whole is Kansas City.Their players are fine but I just always found the team to be pretty boring. But Ozzie runs his mouth and is not very professional. He has said some very dumb things during and relating to ball games. His interviews are almost impossible to watch as they are laced with pure idiocy. He was a decent ball player and hes a hard nosed manager for sure but he is one of those people who were born better off to keep their mouths closed.

I dislike Craig Biggio.I still avidly collect him when I can but as far as a person I dislike his actions. He was a hell of a ballplayer and I am very happy he played for my hometown team and will always be remembered for it.I have also heard my share of horror stories and this comes from people I know and trust, not just people I have seen once in my life. But all of that aside I still think the man is a little less considerate of fans than he should be.In fact its like pulling teeth to get an autograph of his even if you are at a paying event to do so.He signs things in a crappy manner because I think he is convinced that people are going to try to sell them and make money. My question, if I could only ask one, to him would be why he cares so much.He is very finnicky about signing bats if he will even sign them at all and when he does he insists on doing it his way.He does not care if he messes up your item or does something you do not wish to it.In my personal opinion if I have to pay for an item and maybe even have to pay to get it signed you will either do it MY way or not at all.Otherwise I'd just rather not have the autograph. And if he does not personalize items he will make the auto small. He can really screw up a good and hard to find item so I would caution anyone who spends much money on whatever they want him to sign. This is probably the only player I will mention anything about that is off the field related.

I really have nothing else to say about any particular player. The only other things that get my goat is players who can't make a throw across a diamond or who do not hustle. My frame of mind is if you can't throw across the diamond accurately on a routine play from either third, short, or 2nd,(we are not talking a slow roller or a really off balance throw here) then there is no reason in the world you should be playing baseball professionally. Also I hate to see people let a ball drop in front of them.I can see not wanting to overrun a ball but a lot of times players really cool their jets when they are coming in trying to catch a fly ball and they just let it drop and sometimes its literally 3 feet in front of them and it leaves me wondering "what the hell was that?".Then the next time you see them make a diving catch and you have to wonder if they had stepped on the gas a little , wouldn't they have made the other play easily?I also hate it when people do not run out ground balls. At least if your running hard you force them to be pretty accurate on the glovework and throw. And chances are this will pay off.Not every time but then again you do get paid to try your hardest every time.

I base this last bit I had to say on my anger towards seeing people not do things that I could easily do.And last time I checked I am out of shape and just a nobody. So I should pay money to watch a professional make millions doing things I could do better and, with more vigor, knowing full well its not because of their lack of abilities but rather their lack of effort?Yep...it bothers me.

Yeah but what about Craig Counsell? What about Pujols with that really weird smug look on his face and the bat cocked at a weird angle? What about Griffey and his golf-like swing? How about Bagwell and his taking a crap stance? In any case they get the job done.

I find this an odd reason to hate a player. Not saying my opinion is better than anyone else and theirs but I just find it odd.

Chase Utley.Basically for the same reasons you do.The guy is a d-bag.

The same reason he does? His reason is based on nothing.Nothing Utley has said OR done but only a feeling.I feel you are a d-bag.I have nothing to base this on but from what one other person has said I have to agree, you are a ******-bag.And I am a KC Royals fan so I couldn't give a sh!t less about Utley, good or bad.

Stop being a sheep. It just makes you like a, well, ******-bag.
I'll reply to this for the Chase haters. He stayed with a friend of mine when he was in the Cape league. They said he was an arrogant ***** who would come home in the middle of the night after being at the bars and generally treated the family who was doing him a major favor like sh*t.
Is that enough?

No that is not enough.Doing him a favor since he was about to or already was making a million?Funny how pissed-off family comes out then. How was his family doing him a favor?Shut-up you fool.

Best part of this thread is that you inadvertently made yourself look like the d-bag

You are right, I did.If I wasn't so used to being me I would be embarrassed  .I think I drank too much  I had to give myself an internet time-out.

The player I hate most is Kyle Farnsworth. Why? Check yesterday's box scores.

Agree completely. It's very apparent he does not know how the minor league host family program works, so there is no use in arguing with him.

Your are right I don't.I was out of line (and misread what you posted) and for that I am sorry Penno.

I dislike anyone who stands and watches their homerun. It's showboating, and shows up the pitcher. It breaks the "code". Just put your head down and run around the bases at a good clip. Any batter that does that deserves to get drilled his next time up.

Thanked! Couldn't have said it better myself. The problem is that the idiots at Sportscenter are apologists for this "new era player." They have said it is ok to stand there like a tool enough times that people start following their lead and accepting this behavior as normal. I'd love to see Manny hit a bomb off of Bob Gibson and stand there and watch it. They'd have to show him a video replay in the ICU after his next at bat.

Yup, and I feel the same way about any pitcher that does a fist pump after striking someone out. It works both ways.

I appreciate every player's talent and I don't hate any player, but I love rooting against any Met, Philly, Marlin, and National. Even so, some players on those teams, like Hanley Ramirez, are tough to root against.

I'm gonna have to go back and read the rest of this thread but I had to post.

Zambrano is probably the player I can't stand the most. He is so arrogant and he really isn't that good. He can be great on some nights but if you get under his skin he will implode. No true "ace" is that inconsistent.

I also can't stand Derek Jeter fans. They think he is god's gift to baseball when he really just a guy who was good for a long time, but far from elite.
