Re: THE FCB BASEBALL CARD HALL OF FAME

I've seen a couple of serious votes for 1981 Donruss.

1800's Old Mill

1909-1911 T206
1933-1934 Goudey

1989 Upper Deck
1993 Topps Finest Refractors
1996 Leaf Signature Series
1997 Bowman Chrome
2005 Playoff Absolute Memorbillia

what was so special?

I have passed on commenting on your other posts, but this one I couldn't. What kind of idiot are you? The jumbo GU in that set are currently and will probably be one of the most collected sets. With the combo of HOF, retired stars, current stars and nobodys, it has something for everyone.

sorry i was not sure which set you were referring to, now that i know it is that set, it is pretty cool, but i think that the cards are overvalued sometimes for the prices they fetch on ebay

name one post you have ignored commenting on min

When you asked to borrow money from someone to buy a card

The 13 thousand posts about wanting to buy, already bought, or wanting peoples opinions on a Topps Traded Cabrera

Offering to trade a card that was currently being offered on eBay, that wasn't yours, because you would buy it

I'll stop there, but with the number of posts you have, I'm sure I can find quite a few more.

o yeah, forgot about those.[/quote:1d7r7a7f]

You are the reason I put auto-decline on auctions. Do you even have the amount of money you offered or were you just being a smartass?

It's not an insult it's an idiotic offer because you know for a fact that I am not going to sell it for that. You honestly think I would accept an offer on the card that would see me lose money on a card that pretty clearly went for less than a reasonable rate because of a poor listing. Not sure why but for some reason I expected at least a little bit of intelligence on your part.

I only looked at the first post..... but if someone hasn't mentioned 1984 Donruss Don Mattingly for the singles, you all deserve a swift kick in the most painful area.  :D ;)

Re: THE FCB BASEBALL CARD HALL OF FAME

The Mattingly was my first thought as well. I agree with that as well as the 01 Sweet Spot set. I would not vote in favor of the 81 fleer/donruss sets. Just cuz they were the first sets released for those companies isn't enough in my opinion. Based on prices/popularity there isnt really anything special about them other than their release. Collecting in the 80's I'd seriously consider adding the 86 Donruss Canseco to the list. 53 Bowman Color gets a thumbs up too. I'm rambling. Finally, an Ultimate Sig or SP Authentic (Pre '05) set needs to be on the list somewhere

I remember in 1998 the Leaf Rookies and Stars Short Printed Rookie Cards was a big thing

Re: THE FCB BASEBALL CARD HALL OF FAME

Also, this may be crap now, but when these came out in 1992, it marked the first time a young collector couldn't walk in to a shop or card show and pick up the BEST card in a NEW release for $5 or less. For me, these were the first cards that were, almost at release, priced beyond a 12 year old's budget

Re: THE FCB BASEBALL CARD HALL OF FAME

2008 Topps Sterling.

Reason: Show me a product with better patches. (Don't take that as a challenge or offensively, I would seriously like to see/know of a product that had better patches than this release.)
