me and my friend got in an argument about this ther other day.. i take chris johnson but he's trying to say that steven jackson would od better if he had a better offensive line. johnson is on pace to rush for over 1800 yards and on any team i think thats amazing no matter what your O-line is like.

Chris Johnson.

Give me the guy who can get me more yards right now. It's what have you done for me lately, not what have you done in the past. This season, Johnson just proves to me he's a better back.

Steven Jackson is an all around better RB. Chris Johnson would not do any better than Jackson is if he was on the Rams.

I vote for Jackson simply because I prefer a power run game. Johnson is immensely talented but a bit of a character that rubs me the wrong way as well. It comes down to personal preference though as I don't think one is clearly exceptional above the other.

SJax is a GREAT back, always been a fan.

No matter what I say will only be seen as bias considering who I have been following this season.

**** it. It's Pierre Thomas.

Oh also, CJ is on pace for more than 1800. Closer to 2K judging by the Titans remaining schedule. Chris Johnson (if he gets 2K) will have only been the 6th player in NFL history to accomplish the feat.

Also, a few more things to consider:

1) SJax- injury prone. (Not this year *yet* but we'll see..) CJ? Not so much.
2) Both play for losing teams, in fact the Rams and Titans shared identical season records before yesterdays games. So don't give me the "well, Jackson plays for the Rams" garbage. Should we compare the numbers?
3) Try trading Jackson for CJ in ANY fantasy league. Just remember, they're laughing WITH you, not AT you!

CJ no question.

I actually thought the poll would be CJ or AP. As Snyper pointed out Johnson's numbers have been incredible....and honestly I've been someone that wasn't high on him coming out, then figured it was a one year fluke, or waiting for the production to fade....but at this point all he is done is produce consitently and at an amazingly high level....at this point he's got a chance to be another Sanders, time will tell on that, but to this point he's shown no reason to doubht that.

Jackson, even w/ injuries and a poor OL during his career has put together a string of 1,000 yd. seasons. His career is off to Dillon like start where he's a great back on terrible team and no one notices. Johnson is good but Jackson has the power to go w/ the speed.

It depends one the purpose.

Fantasy right now would be Johnson, on a real life time I think Jackson is better.

Color me confused.. :?

What is the difference between fantasy statistics and game statistics?

Come on man..

Let's put it this way. Give me SJax in 2007 and prior. For 2008 and forward? I got dibs on CJ.

Matt Schaub has the 2nd best fantasy stats for QB's. I can name more than 8-10 QB's I'd rather have.

Posed question was "which RB would you rather have"? And then we try to take it out of context by comparing fantasy football and real time? Right.... Numbers are numbers. ESPECIALLY when the comparison of the two teams is so similar.

Not one person has described how Jackson is better than CJ yet. That's what I find funny. "He's a harder runner"? Uh... ok? So is Marion Barber and several other bruiser type RB's.

Speed kills. Keep your "hard running" RB, I'll watch SJax from the endzone with CJ while Jax struggles desperately to make his way out of the redzone, letalone the endzone.

Not really sure what the Jackson fans are failing to see here to be honest. Both teams are GARBAGE this season. Can't do anything but run the ball for the most part, in which case all the D has to do is stack the box in order to contain. Here's a hint:

One of these men is STILL finding holes, making plays, and burning defenses alive. The other is not.

I sincerely hope that Shaun Hill is on that list.

There is a big difference between fantasy player vs. real life player.

I guess you would take Schaub over Peyton on your team?

Here we go... refer to my post above. Let's try our best to keep it in context.

But to answer your question, hell yes I would have and did because Peyton was getting drafted in 1st and 2nd rounds. Why would I pass on top tier RB's for any QB? Let me guess, you're that guy who took Peyton with your #1 pick didn't you?
