At the prices that current stars charge these days, it won't be too far off for them to hit the $500 mark frequently. You can get a HOF'er from the 60's/70's for as little as $30-$50 and sometimes free inscription. Or you can get Randy Johnson for $200 or Jake Arrieta for about the same. It's quickly becoming a rich mans game to get auto's at shows.

I personally don't think Jeter is in the $500 category, not to say he couldn't get a lot to buy at that price, just my thought that he is outside that range. LeBron is close. Brady and Jordan are the two I'd say, but if they did shows, the value decreases quickly.

I do not think I would spend $500 for anyone's signature, not even the hottest supermodel. I think the prices charged for some players has gotten so far out of line that the regular fan cannot afford them
