This just popped in my head and I figured I'd ask.

Would you rather have a Topps Redemption that you have to redeem and wait months before disappointment arrives in your mailbox

or

Unlicensed inserts pulled from a pack and in your hands

??

EXTRA CREDIT: why?

I'd rather have a topps redemption and try to sell it.

That wasn't one of his options in the Hypothetical.

It obviously depends on the card, I'd much rather redeem and wait for a puig/trout/harper auto than get an insert /5000 of Jesus Montero.

If they had very similar resale value, I'd rather have the unlicensed insert.

So basically, despite all the witch hunting that goes on here against topps, they just proved exactly why topps makes money and will continue to do so along with provide bad service.

Topps..

You're question could have been a topps redemption 6 months out and they pull a hand full of your short and curlys or a non licensed card in hand!

I'd still take topps.

No one would even be able to tell if you were missing TWO hand-fulls.

I would rather take the Topps redemption and wait to see what is redeemed. I do like a lot of the unlicensed inserts and even some of the products (Prime Cuts and National Treasures never cease to amaze all around). If we are talking about the pack pull view, that is a tough one. I think I would still go with the Topps redemption, regardless of the bad service with those lately they do have more sway in sell/trade if you are trying to get rid of it to help out your own collection. Unlicensed inserts certainly look nice but are detracted without logos...for the price I would pay to open packs/boxes to hit some of those I would much rather purchase the singles for the ones I want for the same/less money if that makes any sense :)

Neither, with a slight preference towards a 'bird in the hand'...
