Second round pick for a proven dominant closer at the going rate for stud closer. I say they should have kept him especially being a homegrown guy
the yanks almost always paid there homegrown guys well enough to stay

They essentially got someone who is just as good IMO (Miller) for 4 million cheaper and they got the draft pick. Yanks are attempting to strengthen their farm IMO as it is better this year than it's been the past ten years.

If I were the Yankees I would talk to Romo. You have a big three at the end with Miller and Betances locking down the 6-8 and Romo taking the 9th. You legitimately only need 5 innings out of your starters. They could actually turn into contenders with that model IMO.

Look at his stats past this year, he was an all star and dominant. Miller imo hasnt been as steady. The yanks have the money, to let a homegrown guy walk over that contract is silly. Especially when the starting rotation is so suspect. That strong bullpen ensures the starters dont have to go deep into games.

I would hardly say one season as a closer is proven but okay.

The yanks are strengthening the system thru the international market. The yanks are always win now. Im just saying for the money I just dont see letting him walk. They have the money. Betances Robertson and miller would be flat out dominate.
