Miguel Tejada and Paul Lo Duca

I swear those two guys have accounted for at least 27% of the jersey cards I've pulled in my life, and conveniently enough, they are two of my least favorite players in recent memory. Oh, and they don't sell for anything because both of them suck ass.

If I used ebay, and if I had extra cash laying around, I'd buy them all. Owning those would probably qualify me as a Ben Sheets supercollector, therefore owning a collection worth little more than the paper and metal they're printed on.

Here's another Sheets collector (assuming neither of you are this seller) listing ~45 plates of his:

Ben Sheets. Once everyone knew he was leaving the Brewers and then couldn't stop getting injured, his stuff flatlined.

Bill Hall falls into that category too.

I collect Ben Sheets, but I'm not really sure why I do. When I started collecting again, I got several of his cards in a lot I bought, so I decided, for some reason, that he'd be one of my PC players. No real reason. I have well over 200 Sheets cards, several GU, and a nice Absolutely Ink auto.

The late 90's/early 2000s are loaded with players I don't know if anyone collects. Reggie Sanders, Raul Mondesi, Rondell White, Alex Gonzalez...the list of mediocrity goes on. Any AJ Pierzynski collectors? Ben Broussard?

Talk about flooding the market.

That guy constantly pops up with a TON of Brewers stuff that he's bought over the years. He actaully makes my point, since I don't think he ever sells anything, since, again, no one really collects Sheets :)

Correction, THE supercollector :)

Good call on Loduca, he has 3 cards that have sold for a whopping $.99 each over the last 2 weeks.

LoDuca had, what, two good seasons? Maybe 3, tops? I run into his #'ed stuff all the time, could have started a decent collection with all his junk that I pulled out of dime boxes.

Now that I think about it, Grady Sizemore. For a guy with such popularity, a rising profile in the media, and apparent talent, I am the only guy who has been consistently buying his stuff, or at least competing for it, for at least the last 5-6 years. There was another guy who I sort of ran off, but that was back around 2005. Since then my main competition seems to have been team collectors and type collectors (Superfractors and A&G Woods, that sort of thing). But since he's been hurt for pretty much the last 3 seasons, even those guys aren't willing to drop major dollars on him.

wow. there are some scrubby scrubs that are very overlooked. i agree with pedro early in the 2000s, his stuff sold for dirt. totally agree with delgado and edmonds who get no hobby love relative to their careers. ill add alfonso soriano, scott rolen, torii hunter, they all seem to have little to no market

I collect Jim Edmonds and especially Scott Rolen like nobody's business. Right now I have well over 800 Rolens, second only to my Glaus PC. Only have half that number of Jim Edmonds, but not from lack of trying. Both are players I collected in the 90's, and I when I started collecting again there was no question I'd be going after them again. Rolen stuff is fairly easy to find cheap, but his higher-end cards definitely do have their collectors.

How about Aramis Ramirez, Adrian Beltre and Carlos Beltran?

i dont think any of those 3 have followings. 2 more names: kevin brown and greg vaughn. solid talent, but hard to build a fan base when youre essentially a mercenary for hire playing for 10 teams. i was surprised at how few votes kevin brown got in the hof voting.

Adrian Beltre collector here! The man was a beast in Boston in 2010, and this year he's had a hell of a postseason.

Anyone know a Mike Cameron collector? I'm considering dumping my Cameron collection since he, you know, sucked horrendously with the Sox.

wow, you prove me wrong again. i totally disregarded beltre after the crap numbers he put up after his one monster season. still dont like him collecting wise.

there used to be a cameron collector here and/or on the beckett boards a while back. i remember his spider card. (for those who dont remem, one of those funnel web building spiders made its home in one of his cards in a toploader)

LoDuca and Sexson are two really good ones.

There are a lot of names mentioned in here that I have no problems moving.

For as dominant as he was and the markets he was in, it is surprising how few people collect Pedro.

Hey now! Vaughn's Valley will not be silenced!

Funny but for a lot of the names being mentioned, there used to be HUGE collectors of Cameron, Sexson, Beltran, Rolen, Edmonds, Sheets, etc. that were active here or back on the BMB. I mean these guys had some insane collections.

I had the same situation. Seemed all I ever pulled were Tejada jerseys and bats.

Couple years ago I opened a box of Allen and Ginter. Knew that I could expect two relics. Guy at the shop and I were joking around and I said, "Watch me get a Tejada."

Sure enough, BAM. Tejada. Guy said, "At least you got it outta the way."

Three packs later: BAM. The SAME Tejada. ::facepalm:: ::facepalm:: ::facepalm::

I have pulled Tejada jerseys/bats from hobby and retail, boxes and packs, over and over. Few months ago, I gathered them all together and found I had 8 jerseys and 6 bats. Sold as a lot for 11.00.
