I bought a collection with over 4500 autos broken down to USA, Tristar, Just, and Razor. In the last 2 months lets say I have looked at a lot of these cards. I was a big fan of Razor before, and continue to love their Signature Series set. Never got into the Letterman, but that's because Letterman cards from any Brand don't do it for me. With Just it seems that they have had a longer time to get it right, but from year to year the cards are drastically different. Sometimes simple with autos that pop and clear player shots to the next year and it looks like graphics took precedent and you can barely see player names. I sometimes find myself looking at the backs of these cards to determine who they are. I also have noticed several cards with bad sticker autos. I know its the players faults for not keeping them in the sticker lines, but some have tops of signatures and bottoms from the same signature where the player signed outside the lines.

I think both give collectors a great chance to collect an auto cheap. I mean when it's all said and done, why did a Byron Nelson UD auto cut up and put into a Razor holder and numbered low sell for double or triple what the card sold for uncut. If you want a Jason Heyward auto, Tristar lets you have a piece of him at such a lower cost, the casual fan/collector who doesn't care about investing or reselling and doesn't care what Jersey he is in, would be smarter to buy at that price then Bowman Chrome/Sterling.

I will give Just the edge, as I like Razors 1 product the most, it was only 2 true sets they produced and I usually give it to the company that has a track record. I do believe in 5-10 years, people will be wowed at what Razor did though, the checklist is ridiculous.

Brian make more cards please.

Even when answering a simple question you continue to come off as a pompous ass. And you wonder why so many are against you and "your" company. Good job.

There was nothing at all pompous about his response. Maybe in your eyes, since you're an overdefensive crybaby ********* when it comes to Razor threads.

People are against Brian and his company because people are retarded and lost money on a hobby they mistook as an investment.

Not the case for all
It isn't always the money part
It might be other reasons

I used to think Just Minors were horrible, horrible cards....

until I opened a box of Just Mystery Jerseys for $105 at my LCS

and pulled a Fernando Martinez Justifiable Glossy 1/1 Auto card and sold it on eBay for $500.

For some reason, I have never been a big fan of Just. It seems almost as if everything they have produced was specificly against my perticular taste(s). And I'm going to give credit where credit is due. RAZOR produced an exceptional product in my opinion. They were a clean design done on a quality card stock. It's too bad the RAZOR name has not cought on in the hobby because they have some top name guys, on some really good looking short print cards, and condition sensitive like the SP Foil cards of past.

One thing for sure is that if the RAZOR name ever catches on and their cards ever start to garner demand, all the attributes are going to make thoes cards incredibly expensive. Expecially the high graded ones. Bottom line for me is that I really like cards. And at current prices, they are a steal for anyone looking to grow a pc or a stash for little cash.

Well, I haven't bought Sig series and only a very few lettermens. I invested like a "retard" in Razor metal and made a nice ROI. If you take all the investors out of this "hobby", you'll see the market crash amd your "hobby" disapear.

I wasn't even aware of what JM was before this thread since I'm totaly out of the baseball market, but with the ****** scans I saw in this thread, Razor wins the race 10 laps ahead.

I really don't even understand how anyone could vote for Razor here. They had THREE baseball releases and their non-baseball releases have been mediocre to downright awful. Has anyone even SEEN some of the stuff Just has put out through the years? I would venture to say no, most of you who voted Razor have not even seen most of the Just releases. Just has many releases per year from 1999-2008 (was it 2008?) and have many sets to choose from, Razor has THREE total and two look the very same (Sig and Metal). I can think of probably 5 Just releases that are far better than anything Razor has ever put out (out of the 3).

I am basing most of this opinion on the overall look and design of the cards, FYI.

I prefer Razor to Just Minors. Just minors isn't in the same league, much less same ballgame as Razor.

You're right about that. Just is a superstar compared to Razor being a fledgling wanna-be.

Maybe I can help you to understand. You just said from 1999 to 2008, JM have 5 releases ONLY, better then Razor that are producing cards at their 1st year in baseball. lol. A pretty good start if they are already better than most of the JM releases.

Your 5 releases are based on personal taste and opinion, so in fact maybe 3 only are better than Razor. Give Razor 2-3 years and let's compare after that.

And common don't say design are better on JM, or show me something else than the awful cards you guys scanned earlier. I would probably end up with a better design, on drugs.

I'm not going to sit here and find scans of all the Just sets, but in my opinion, many of them are nicer than the 3 sets Razor has released. You basing your entire opinion of Just on a few scans out of many Just sets is pretty dumb if you haven't seen them all. I have seen all 3 Razor sets and every single Just release. How can you even have an opinion without having seen all the Just releases.

No need to see them all. When I see 5 different scans of different sets it's giving me a good idea of the whole picture.
It's clear to me the designer of JM was working part time flipping burger at burger king.

And FYI, the definition of opinion is not = having the same opinon as sportscardtheory of FCB
