Who do you think wins the awards below? I think the most interesting races will be AL MVP, Cy Young, and Manager of the Year (seriously how do you decide between Buck and Melvin?). Here's who I got. I'm confident on all of them except for AL Manager and AL Comeback (wasn't sure who to pick there).

AL MVP: Miguel Cabrera
NL MVP: Buster Posey
AL Cy Young: David Price
NL Cy Young: R.A. Dickey
AL ROY: Mike Trout
NL ROY: Bryce Harper
AL Manager of the Year: Buck Showalter
NL Manager of the Year: Davey Johnson
AL Comeback: Jake Peavy
NL Comeback: Buster Posey

I think AL Comeback POY has to be Dunn, but otherwise I'm with you on all your picks.

This has been one of the most fun years to discuss an MVP race, with all the different arguments in the AL for each candidate. Last year was interesting too with a pitcher in the mix, but it's great for discussion and great for the game when two guys have seasons that haven't been done in 45 years and haven't been done ever.

2012 was definitely exciting for me as a baseball fan. The Orioles were just icing on the cake.

I find it hard for a player that finished 2012 with a .204 batting average to be Comeback Player of the Year, despite his homers and rbi.
I would chose Dunn's teammate, Alex Rios.
Rios rebounded from a weak .227, 13 hr, 44 rbi season to hit .304 with 25 hr and 91 rbi.

As for the rest of my picks, I agree with Markakis8, except for AL Manager, in which I think Melvin should tie with Showalter.
AL MVP: Miguel Cabrera
NL MVP: Buster Posey
AL Cy Young: David Price
NL Cy Young: R.A. Dickey
AL ROY: Mike Trout
NL ROY: Bryce Harper
AL Manager of the Year: Buck Showalter/Doug Melvin (tie)
NL Manager of the Year: Davey Johnson
AL Comeback: Alex Rios
NL Comeback: Buster Posey

If there was a comeback team award it would go to the Pale Hose. I mean all players mentioned are from them but I think the award goes to Rios

Dunn may have hit .204, but let's look at what he rebounded from last season.

2011: .159/.292/.277, 11 HR, 42 RBI, .569 OPS
2012: .204/.333/.468, 41 HR, 96 RBI, .800 OPS and he led the league in walks

Make no mistake, I'm not trying to take anything away from Alex Rios, but I would vote for Adam Dunn. I know someone will bring up my bias, but seriously, he came back in a major way this year.

I'd go Verlander over Price.

I wish I could say the same, I'd love to see him take home another Cy Young. There's no question in my mind that Verlander was the best pitcher in the game again this year, but the overall stats look a little better for Price so I have a hard time seeing Verlander winning it.

Todd Frazier has very good stats and was key for the Reds making the playoffs, but Harper has more HR, same BA, 18 more SB and did it at age 19.

I wonder if the reporter who caused Harper to say, "That's a clown question, bro." will vote for Harper.
(That is, if the reporter was a writer, since TV/Radio reporters don't vote).

Trout was the best player on the planet in 2012, and the position player every GM would pick first in an open draft. However, I think Cabrera will win the AL MVP.
