Why are these boxes so high?

Was just cruzin ebay and saw that these boxes went for alittle bit of change. What is in 1999 Fleer retail that people want?

Fleer backdoored tons of product to the Pennsylvania State Treasury unclaimed property department. A Starting 9 in every pack.

Starting 9 parallels numbered to /9. But buying boxes looking for those is foolish.

Ugh... just realized those were retail boxes. That's crazy price for those! Starting 9 were hobby only inserts.

Only thing in those is a very slim chance at a Musial auto.

All Burbank auctions with cheapest asking price of $70 for commons. Burbank sure thinks they're valuable!

Realistically, commons should be around $30. Semistars around $70-$100, and big names $150 and way up for the elites.

I knew starting 9 where the high chase cards but so rare and only in hobby. Forgot about stan the man auto but i thought maybe i was missing a sweet 90's insert set. Thanks for the info
