Why have so many stars been on the DL this season?

This year seems unusually busy for stars on the disabled list.
Why are so many big name players getting hurt? Or is it just my imagination that the DL has more stars than usual?

I see no Tulowitzki on your list, but he's on the DL every year so it ain't no thing.

Ha, I don't know how I forgot about him.
So does anyone else think there are more stars hurt this year than usual? Or am I just noticing it more this season because my Rangers, Yankees and Dodgers have been decimated by injuries? It does seem like an awfully long list of stars, though.
(Or are players too afraid to take any kind of healing drugs for fear of being suspended?

The early start date to Spring Training. Players didnt have time to prepare like they have in the past.

Miguel Cabrera's hurt too.
He's missed a couple of games with a strained abdomen this week, and earlier missed a few games with a sore hip.
I hope he doesn't start falling apart.

Roids dont do a body good. They need to start drinking milk instead.
