Why does Roger Goodell have to go to Washington to defend the NFL's stance on head injuries suffered by players? Don't they have anything better to do right now?

He also had to field questions from a few Republicans about the Rush Limbaugh/Rams situation.

This is just as bad as the Congressional hearings on steroids in baseball. I hate the whole idea of steroids in baseball, but I don't want my tax money paying a bunch of guys in the last years of their lives to ramble on about it in a government meeting where they could be doing something more productive to the lives of their constituents.

I know, supposably witnesses were saying Goodell was squirming in his seat when King asked the question. His answer was pathetically weak.

Rush's audio explanation is a bit better.

Maybe to look into cases like Mike Webster

What is there to look into?

While I can see the need for investigations, it just seems like it's not something the House should be dealing with.

The House below, yes. The guys in Washington? No.
