As far as the 1990 Score Promo is concerned please don't bring it up because this card has haunted my dreams since I learned of its existence. I have only seen one example from this set ever and it was Nolan Ryan. Most player collectors don't even know about this set.
I've heard of it and have also never seen one. I'm down to very few cards and almost all of them I've never seen. Someday.

Still stunned.

Exactly!! Unheard of, unseen, on almost every player collector list that knows of it. I have seen only a couple from the set. Speaking of those, I wonder who DOES have any examples from that set on here. Know of any super collector that actually does have 1 in their collection??? I sure hope I at least see one someday to bid on. It's my #1 conquest in Clark collecting.

As far as the 90 Score Promo I know who owns a Nolan Ryan but other than that no idea.
What did the 93 Cooperstown Promo end up at?

About $130

I bid on that too. It's rare too, that might actually end up being a pretty good buy. Once clark22fan is done listing his collection, its gonna take another Clark collector to sell out to see some of these cards surface again.

I am killing myself for not bidding on the Griffey from that set a few years ago.
Here is a picture of the 90 Score Promo and it is very subtle so these might be stuck in boxes of
junk?

ok, since I've never seen one, the subtlety is beyond me. Where is it designated as a promo?

got it, thanks! Next questions, how did these reach the marketplace, and how many are suspected to exist?

edit: one last question, do all the promos have the missing '89 stat line?

Only the red series cards were made as promos. They were distributed to dealers probably by mail
to shop owners. As far as I know they are all missing the 89 stat line and career totals.

As far as I know all are missing the '89 stat line and career line. Some of the cards have different versions of the career highlights write ups. According to the SCD catalog "A handful of the sample cards were widely distributed to dealers and the hobby press, while others from the sheet were released more sparingly, creating inequities in the number of each card available. As few as two examples are known of some of the superstar cards, making them extremely expensive among the single-player specialists."

While I'm disappointed that I didn't get the Jumbo, I think I've got enough to keep me busy for a while. These are some of the cards I've picked up recently. (I'll likely put up a separate thread for these...I hope that's ok, as I really need to show them off!)

I'm hoping to add these to http://www.thrill22.com soon, but I've got a lot of cropping and updating to do first!

Holy crap! Nice pickups Drew. I definitely recognize a few of those :) That looks like a lot of cards/work to update the website with.

So Josh, what's the new card? Or is it even a card? Pictures soon I hope :)

Hey, do any of you guys have an extra 1987 Sportflics with the 1987 copyright? I have the regular version in 1986 and 1987, but I need #195 Tri-Star (with Keith Hernandez and Glenn Davis) with the 1987 copyright.

Anyone?

Great job Nolan on landing that DK super, Wow another insane price.

And some great cards in that lot Drew, too bad you lost out on the Super, heck of a battle.

Thanks Ron! It's the most I've spent on a single Clark card by about $300, so it's a little insane, I'm the first to admit. But I was a teenager when I was actively seeking out that card, so it might be the last time in another 18 years before I see another one. I'm glad I can finally mark it off the list. If wolverine24 finds a stash of them and starts listing them very week for .99, I am gonna be pissed :)

Ron just pointed me to this thread.... it's blowing my mind!!!!! :o :o :o

I've been collecting Clark for around 20 years now. I don't collect much outside of cards, but once in a while if I find a good deal I'll venture out a bit. Here's one of my favorite pieces, from the Topps Vault. :)

Glad you found the thread. We've got a handful of great collectors (and collections) represented here...
