Will Leaf Metal cards hold their value?

Last night I bought a 2011 Leaf Metal J.J. Watt auto for my Wisconsin Badger collection and it got me thinking will Leaf Metal cards hold their value over time?

We see it every year with Press Pass and Sage they sell hot out of the gate but then they for the most part become worthless. Do you guys think Leaf Metal will suffer the same fate? I tend to think they won't hold their value simply because of the lack of a license (NFL or NCAA) but in the end I really don't care as any Leaf Metal cards I will pick up will be for my Badgers collection.

By this way this is not a thread to bash Leaf, I was just simply curious what you guys thought.

i think the lower #ed cards do. not the un numbered base autos though

I think they'll hold better value than PP or Sage, but won't be anywhere near the rookies seen in the licensed products.

I think they'll hold their value better than people think.

The key here is for Brian to make enough cash money to guarantee a 2012 set and then a 2013 set. I think they'll absolutely plummet if this turns out to be another one-off thing. If he can put together a series of 2 or 3 more years, everyone will be happy.

I think everyone involved will be happy if they hold 60% of their value. Of course there will be people that bitch and moan without even bothering to look at the trajectory that Prestige takes.

The fact that he put out an amazing set before the draft gave footballers a taste of the prospecting game, which I think is a pretty big deal.

I'll throw this out there, but I think they hold their value better than Prestige.

I don't think they will hold their value.Nothing against leaf but Draft products rarely ever hold their value.

They are of higher quality than anything anyone has tried with a draft product so we will see. Isn't all UD products basically hybrid draft type products with all college jerseys?

That being said I guess if investing I would care.. I am one of the few I guess where the future value of the cards does not affect me..
