Will Topps/Bowman pony up enough for Strasburg?

Last night in chat Brian mentioned his offer to Strasburg was turned down immediately.

I'm one of those only looking to get him in Topps/Topps Chrome anyway, I happen to prefer the RC logo.

Does it really matter?

Those that only view cards of players with MLB logos as valid will only care when Strasburg gets his first Topps issued card showing a Nats logo. Those that view any card as valid already know that Strasburg has numerous issues featuring his autograph.

So let me ask...is an air-brushed or hidden logo card better than a USA Baseball card of Stras?

I think the fact that people will have two choices (UD or UD USA)

therefore, the older USA cards should stay strong

After the debacle between Wieters/Boras and Topps, I don't think Strasburg will sign with Topps.

If UD signs him to an exlcusive, would Topps still be able to produce a card of him in the MLB uniform once he is added to the 25-man roster(gets called up)?

I understand that UD would have an exclusive as far as autographs and game-used product would go, but I'm not sure how all the licensing crap works...

They are must obtain licencing on a player to player basis.
