I thought Rick Asaadorian (sp) was the man in 00 BC...

He was, but he had rookies in Finest, Stadium Club (which had an awesome pic), etc. Hart, Ginter, etc only had rookies in Bowman/BC

One of the nice things about the 2001 Heritage chrome set is that you still have to pay $30 for cards of guys like Robert Keppel, Chad Petty, J.R. House, and Adam Johnson.

JR House...ugh

2000 taught me a valuable lesson: Vladimir Guererro's relatives aren't as good as Vladimir Guererro.

In a couple packs of 2000 bowman chrome, I pulled a ben broussard and was thrilled. Pretty sure he was the top guy in 2000 bowman so I thought I pulled the best guy possible. Turns out there were now guys not on the base bowman checklist in chrome and it bummed me out. I also bought a bowman draft nick neugebauer (couldn't quite afford a set at that time) because it is his only rc.

In 2003/early '04, I pulled a brandon wood chrome auto. It was my first chrome auto but 5 or 6 nail marks on the back bummed me out. I would have sent it back to topps but I figured you couldn't send back an auto and didn't bother. The most fun part was seeing it go up in beckett for like 5 straight months. While I don't mind still having the card today, it would have been a better decision to have sold it.

Landon Powell!

I recently sold off a huge lot of parallels, 8 autos, and 2 plates for $35.

Only thing I kept was my bowman chrome rainbow because it looks cool 8-)

every time I hear the name Beau Mills' name I throw up in my mouth a little bit along with Adam Miller. It doesn't get much worse then those 2 highly touted tribe busts.

My three biggest losses on top 10 prospects. Every other loss on a top 10 prospect is rather insignificant.

Paid-$120 Sold-$20 at auction.

Might as well count the Blue version I lost out on.

Paid-$50.55 Sold-$2.47 at auction  . I still have one more, so looking at the books, that's like burning a $50.

Paid-$235 Sold-$125 while he was in Wilmington and everyone had thrown in the towel on him. I needed the cash, but wouldn't have sold it if I knew nobody wanted it. ::facepalm:: Luckily I sold a BGS 9 earlier this season for $350 after paying $193.50, so I made up for it.

These guys kind of sum it up for me.

My life is terrible.

Paisano! We could make bookends with our Jeffress 9.5's... I'd rather not say what I paid; every time I think of it I hit myself in the face.

At least there's hope for Adam Miller, it's on life support, but it's there.

Four pages in and no one has typed "Jason Stokes."

And IIRC, Beckett compared Hart to Bagwell. The only thing they had in common was their steroid dealer

just kidding

Does Matt Laporta still have hope?

I'd say so. Exactly 162 career games, he has 19 HR, and played 110 of those games not 100% healthy. It's all about health for him and the Indians this year. If he's batting 5th between a healthy Santana and Travis Hafner, you gotta believe he's gonna see some pitches to hit.

Hold on to his stuff through his arbitration years and then when the Indians have to trade him to a big market team cash in
