Why would someone list it at $6,000 and accept $3,000... strange.

If you're hurtin for cash in order to make a dash, taking a 3k offer would allow you to get quite a stash. I'm not trying to be brash but the seller probably had no other offers of that magnitude so the accept button he did mash.

Can someone explain to me why his full user name is displayed at the top of this completed auction? That doesn't really happen on any other auctions that i've seen. And it kind of defeats the purpose of eBay's new policy of keeping bidders id's private.

I think it only happens when a bin is hit or a bo is accepted.

sometimes yes, sometimes no. I'd like to know A) why does it happen sometimes, and B) what makes BIN/BO special that they then reveal the buyers ID?

When doesn't it happen? I was under the impression that it did this on all BO's, and I think on BIN's on BIN/BO listings.

You're right; looks like all BO buyers are revealed. But my question is still: what's the point of revealing the IDs under these lone circumstances?

Not sure why. When they first started hiding all the names I noticed it and figured it was just a glitch.

I may be wrong, but, I believe they hide the names to prevent fraudulent second chance offers by people other than the seller in efforts to try to scam someone. There is no second chance offer on BIN/BO, so they don't need to hide them.

That confuses me :)

Besides, it's only BO; BIN sales still hide the ID.
