if he is planning to give you 1200 paypal gift without knowing you for a card.. there has to be something behind it. that large a purchase I think most normal people would want the paypal buyer protection. he can report you for accepting that kind of payment if things go bad and paypal may side with him as a result as your not supposed to accept gift as payment for auctions.. so you will get the chorice anyway you look at it. the paypal fee is trivial on that kind of profit so it would make much more sense to protect yourself from getting screwed IMO.

I thinks this is a little bit of a stretch, but even if that could happen, it won't. The buyer of this card is desperate. He submitted 3 offers to cardboardbeauties and they all were denied (which proves CBB is a moron if one of those offers was $1200 or better).

Has anyone ever had an offer accepted by cardboardbeauties?

you think prices will go higher yet his offer was higher than you expected? sit on the card til it reaches your lofty standards for it... i look forward to reading the i had the orange jesus sold but figured he would spike and now i have an offer for $500... should i sell or wait for the rebound post.

look at the history of yankee prospects in the last 5 years... austin jackson, jose tabata, joba chamberlain, and phil hughes... of them which has held their level of hype and value?

DONT DEAL WITH CARDBOARDBEAUTIES, AKA ERIC CUOMO.

HE IS A KNOWN SCAMMER FROM THE DAYS OF BMB AND HAS MULTIPLE EBAY ACCOUNTS.

(sorry for caps, just needed to get attention on that)

There are stories from BMB about dealing with him and what he does.

I dont remember them all distinctly, but I remember the threads about him there. And there are many.

Hopefully others can elaborate better.

Probably a year ago, without knowing who he was, I tried to get a gold refractor from him on another board, and it became pretty laughable not long thereafter that he was never going to let go of that card unless he went on to hit 90 home runs that year.Believe it or not, I noticed he actually dropped the BIN on the same card to a figure doesn't require a winning Powerball ticket. For entertainment purposes only I thought about making an offer on it and see what mayhem ensues.

I actually didn't comment on this b/c I thought gilmo put that intentionally (at least I hope so).

The real question is...how the hell do I have 1,000 more posts than this Montero stalker?

Chris, do you just delete half of his posts to savor the dignity of this forum?

My biggest problem with this thread is that gilmo said Matt Damon was the bomb in Phantoms.

It was actually Matt's ****** equal, Ben Affleck, who was the bomb in Phantoms.

Phantoms like a mothaf*%ka!!

99% of the stories I read were about him being a dick and low balling or lying to get what he wanted

he sends what he says hes gonna send though, just from my own personal experience

if he were allowed on here, he would get banned quickly, because he would get hammered and he wouldnt handle that well

Sell. It will most likely drop in price in the next few years. Take the money and don't look back.

I think the perfect ending to this is for JD to come back and say he got the 1200 PP gift and then asked the guy what was the funding source. The guy said his Paypal balance and then JD told him now pay me another 1000 if you ever want to see the card. Then he would come back to start a thread about our opinion on how safe the 1000 dollars was...

If this were "JD's thread meets Lost season 5 Time Warp" then maybe.

Why don't we post what we want? Who gives a rats ass what JD posts (no offense). People can be such children on here. Let him talk about his favorite player.

Pretty sure he was scamming with secondary ID's. The one person that would know for sure, Z, is never on this board anymore. I think one of the secondary ID's was cardhoolio but I'm not sure of. And very soon the jdcunaha/Montero love posts will be replaced by darocker84/Lincecum & sam banks/Cardinals posts so I see no harm in them and usually just don't click on them.
