Seems to me like he will be able to file some sort of lawsuit. Wrongfull termination at the very least due to "allegations". If his lawyer is worth a crap he is probably salivating thinking about what his cut will be.

Great advice. The kid has a brain bleed and dies at home. Now that's a great way to get the university sued to the gills.
Send his ass to the hospital and get him an MRI. That's how you cover the university's liability. Sending the kid home is one of the most irresponsible things that could have been done and is more irresponsible than what was allegedly done.

If I understand the incident(s) correctly, the confinements happened some time after the concussions, not at the time of. The question apparently was over his fitness and readiness to return to practice. Thanks for the dramatics though. ::facepalm::

Billy Packer said:The question of whether James is a mama's boy who was milking an injury became irrelevant the minute Leach confined him. A university can't and won't stand by anyone where there's any evidence of improper treatment. No matter whether it was a shed, closet or whatever, it seems pretty clear that Leach had the kid placed in some kind of space for some period of time to make an example of him. What he did was the equivalent of hazing the kid. Not necessarily harmful but still unacceptable. Why not just send him home?
Like it or not, that kind of stuff just doesn't fly anymore, especially if the kid has a documented medical condition with the concussions. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen. And the fact that by all accounts Leach has been a total a-hole to the higher ups at the school certainly didn't help his cause. To me it sounds like he's a bully who thinks he's untouchable simply because he's won a few football games at a second tier Big 12 school (no offense Nate). Good riddance.

Great advice Doctor. Way to limit liability.
