Moving back to the PC that got me started. I'm working on an excel spreadsheet tonight that will list each Ripken I have. I'm sure there's a TON of base and a TON of inserts that I don't have. I won't have money for high dollar items and would really prefer to trade for anything that's coming in. Let me know what you have and lets see what we can work out! Thanks guys!

I have one in progress that I'll try to post with google docs shortly. It's far from complete...definitely a work in progress.

After you deal with all of them above, please shoot me a list of what you have for trade. I'd be more than glad to trade for what I need. Ripken to Ripken trade works best for me. Thanks...

Unfortunately I got sent out of town early yesterday morning and can't make a spreadsheet until Friday night. Stuck just outside of Casper, WY working in the oil patch. Sucks! I wish I had a card shop instead. Haha

I know the difference in the Ultra cards since I had been doing Gold Medallion sets from 1995 through 2007 The 226 card is Ultra 2002. Matters not as you only have one That is 100% a Fleer Ultra 2002 Gold Medallion card.

Look at the date printed on the back left corner..
Fleer
2001

Not trying to question your knowledge of the card at all. Before I looked at the back of this card, I thought it was 2002 also as even Beckett will tell you IT IS. Look at the date printed on the back and the card will tell you it's a 2001. That's all. Sorry if I can't help you out....

Okay. Have it your way. Good luck finding a 2002 version. Maybe, just maybe that's why you haven't been able to find it. Try looking for 2001 Ultra Ripken 226 sometime.

You of all people should know that Beckett makes mistakes (sometimes) too. Did you look at the scan I posted above? The back of the card STATES it is a 2001. Only Beckett and you thinks it's a 2002. Maybe I'm wrong but I have go by what the card says. In this case, I strongly believe that you and Beckett is wrong.

I will stop responding to you on this post before this get ugly. All I ask of you is check the scan of the back of the card. If you have the regular issue, check the back of your copy. Ask the seller from Sportlots to check the back of the card and have him/her tell you what date is printed on the back. Don't take it personal Bro, just answer this question. Who are going to believe, the Beckett checklist or the card manufacturer? As I said earlier on this post, it took me forever to figure it out until I had the card in hand and checked the back of the card.

Why would this get ugly? I have tons of Ripken cards as my brother lives in Baltimore and sends me Ripken tidbits and collectibles from time to time. 2002 cards put 2001 stats and other info on them all the time. IM not a Ripken collector but a set builder so I know what the card is. The Ripken 226 is a 100% a Fleer Ultra Gold Medallion card from the 2002 set but you seem to think you need to be right so if you need to believe that. go ahead

How about one of you guys send me that card since I don't have one and I'll be the judge. I'll need to keep is at evidence of course.

This started because I tried to point out the fact that the card states 2001 and not 2002. I wasn't talking about the stats. Maybe you can be the judge anyway and point to Togaman what date is printed on the back of this card.

Yes I do. First thing Friday evening I'll be putting together a spreadsheet of what Ripkens I have and how many of each I have.

O.K., I don't mean to chime in, but since I am waiting on the Ripken spreadsheet so we can possibly make a trade, the card in question is a 2002 Ultra.

I checked my 2001 Ultra set. Card #226 is Jimmy Anderson/Tim Redman.

2002 Ultra is Cal Ripken/Brian Roberts and is a SP (1:4 packs).

LMK when you get that spreadsheet available.
