There really is something up with the way the ball is carrying. Balls that look like shallow fly balls are getting out of the park.

+1..maybe I don't want to invest in Yankees pitching prospects anymore =/

Can someone explain to me what's wrong with ****? He is currently the worst starting pitcher in the MLB. .622 BAA, 2 Ks to 6 BBs, and an ERA of 34.50. He needs to be sent down...sure he is overrated, but this is ridiculous.

Joba to the pen and call up Hughes.

What does that solve? They would still only have 4 starters.

Ok, then bring up Kennedy too. Their bullpen blows. Posada was right to say that Joba belongs in the pen. Hughes or Kennedy can't be any worse than ****.

Didnt the Indians destroy the Yankees in a game last year as well, by scoring 20 something?

Regardless, it couldnt be happening to a better team.

One of the greatest games I have ever seen.....
The crappiest thing about this game is that when it was 14-2 after 2 innings they didn't switch to a more competitive game. I live in Vegas and am sick of seeing the Yankees and Red Sox more than the D-backs and Dodgers.

People who say that the Yankees wont win a World Series in our lifetime are just dumb. We're what, 13 games into the season, and people are already calling shots. Yes, with their lineup they should be doing great, but unfortunately they aren't. Doesn't mean because they start of bad this season they wont win a World Series for 60 years.

The first couple of pitches started out great. He fell apart after that.

I have always thought Joba should have stayed in the pen. He is worth more there than as a starter.

Not seeing another WS in our lifetime is a bit extreme. Lets not get too dramatic about this. However, I have resorted to watching only Yankees Classics on YES.

How about as long as Joe Torre is not coaching the Yankees we will not see another Championship from the Yankees in our lifetime.
Im only refrencing that because the Dodgers are 9-3 with Torre at the helm and not as good of players :|

Relax . True Yankees fan like me remember in 1975 Catfish Hunter was 0-3 in his first 4 start. What happen after season? He won 23 games.

As long as their is no shoulder, elbow, etc.. Injuries with ****, he can be fix. Just give him 2 more start before getting real panic.

I think what some fans here are trying to say is the team has played with zero heart for a few years now. Its easy to see for Yankee fans who are not blind. Bunch of non team guys who are collecting their checks. No heart period.

Exactly. Yankees will never ever win a championship with a superstar making $10 million plus at every position. Go back and look at the lineups and pitching rotations of the Yankees from 1996-2000.

Was watching the O's/Yankees game on Opening Day and the announcer admitted to having a conversation with Tex that went like this: "Whats going to be the major influential factor in where you sign, Mark".

He replies simply: "Money" Good for him. He got what he wanted. But you have maybe 2-3 superstars on the Yankees that actually care if they win (and yes I believe Jeter to be one).

It all started the year they signed Mussina and they haven't stopped their shopping spree since nor won a World Series. And each year has gotten worse. I said it before the season started and I'll say it now. You won't see the Yankees in the postseason this year either.

And firing Girardi isn't the answer.

BTW, I'm escatic that it is happening though.
