Guys, seriously... I'm pretty sure they are UNDER what they spent last season. They lost 2 of their best pitchers and needed to sign guys to take their places... what are they supposed to do, sign the worst pitchers they can??? They lost Giambi and Abreu... are they supposed to sign mediocre cheap players to take their places too? I know there is a lot of Yankee negativity around here, but they are running a business and doing a GREAT job of making money even WITHOUT winning championships.

Guys...it's not like I made the rumor up. This was released..so I figured I would post it. Here is an update if you don't know already:

from MLB Trade Rumors:

Clearing Up Manny Confusion

Today Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe wrote: “The New York Daily News has already reported the Yankees have a three-year, $66 million offer out to Manny.”

As far as I can tell, the New York Daily News did not report that the Yankees made a three-year offer or any offer to Ramirez. If they did, please send me the link and I’ll put it up!
