I thought for certain Texas would win his services....

#Brewers getting shortstop Jean Segura and two Double A pitchers from #Angels for Greinke. "Finishing touches" being applied. Deal is done.

Still looking to find out who these two pitchers will be.

My guess - Johnny Hellweg and Ariel Pena are the two AA pitchers headed to Milwaukee.

Those are the two most notable arms on Arkansas' roster.

Confirmed: Ariel Pena and Johnny Hellweg are two #Angels Double A pitchers heading to #Brewers along with Segura for Greinke.

LA from Milwaukee is a long flight. I hope he misses a start or two to rest up...

BTW, isn't Pena supposed to be good enough to crack the rotation next year, or maybe even September?

I am happy with this deal. We now have eight viable starters within the upper minors. (Fiers, Peralta, Bradley, Jungmann, Thornburg, Hellweg, Pena, Nelson)

I usually see it on here shortly after MLB network...

Hope he does well in LA.

I was a bit disappointed at first when I got the news from my brother that the Angels traded for him. I was more stoked for Texas prospects, but after seeing what they got, I think that is far better than getting a sandwich first round pick.

Wow nice! Now maybe Texas will want Garza

Garza is not going to go anywhere now that it has been said he has fluid in his arm But not a tear of any thing else. He is shout-down until after the deal lime passes.
The talk now in Chicago is he stays here and goes no place. Or maybe in a winter trade. But he will be a Cub for the rest of the season.

As for this trade the Brewers did say they wanted a SS and they got one. Hope it works out for both of them.

I have ten dollars that says he'll pull a "Cliff Lee" and go right back to Milwaukee. According to two interviews I have seen Melvin is really close to him and Lucroy says he honestly likes it here. A lot.

That would be great. Got the Angels #1 prospect. I honestly would have preferred Cowart.
