Just started reading this issue and honestly, it's beyond interesting.
Of course, the hot list is always amusing to look back on. This one didn't disappoint with several Delmon's, Francoeur's mixed with other immortals like Zach duke, Andy laroche and Connor Jackson.
But it also is filled with five pujols, two king Felix and a miggy.
But this issue can be summed up in two words: rookie card.
It is HEAVY on rookie cards, including the history/ evolution of it, Beckett's all time rc list and the craziness that is the soon to be (at that time) formation of infamous "mlb rc logo" and what lead to it.
But wait...There's more!
The news of Donruss losing their license was fresh and just about every reader write letter expressed outrage over it.
This issue also included info regarding the Fleer auction and interview with ud regarding their view of Donruss losing licence.
And in closing, something we all can find amusing.
While this issue is dated October, I assume it came out in September with the issue going to press early that month.
Keeping that in mind, THERE'S A CHECKLIST of the autographs for the late November bowman draft product!
So back then, topps had the names of the autos about three months prior to release! Now the hobby gets it a week before.
Talk about how the hobby has regressed!
