Jake Mauer is made to manage and lots of people think he will be a good one at the major league level one day.

He very likely will someday. He's not going to replace Gardenhire, but someday, he could replace the guy who replaces Gardy.

As I recall, Billy and Jake signed first and did leave the Sweet for Joe. Can't remember if I asked or they kinda knew.
