Who has the most number of collectors?

Who has the wealthiest collectors?

Who is the most ignored?

I think Mays, Musial, Ripken and Aaron are the most collected.

Not sure whose followers are the wealthiest.

I think that Winfield is often ignored. Kaline does not get a ton of attention either.

I love the following 2:

1. Clemente - Exactly 3,000 hits. Died serving humanity.
2. Musial - find the archived SI article from last year and read it!

Most collectors: Ripken, Aaron, Mays, Clemente

Wealthiest: You need some money to collect Ty Cobb and Honus Wagner, and Ripken takes some money as well

Most ignored: Kaline, Biggio, Waner, and Murray

Good topic of discussion, since sometimes I think the 3000 hit club is under appreciated. It's a relatively small group of players and all are HOFers except Rose (banned), Biggio (not on a ballot yet), and Palmeiro (suspected 'roider). My favorite milestone club.

The 1983 Topps and Donruss Sets feature active base cards of 12 members of the 3,000 hit club. 1984 Fleer also features 12 members, making it the "newest" set to feature the most active current base cards at the same time
