Ryan just got his 1,000 hit and also hit his 80th of the year rbi (leader) and now is 7th all time rbi with the Phillies.

Way to go Ryan, the home run was a moon shot to dead center and the 1000th hit was an opposite field shot that
almost went out. Say what you want about the strike outs, but Howard is a beast every year and he plays the game
like the good guys like Ripken and Gwynn.

I think this season should put a halt to any of the last few who actually put Howard and Pujols in the same category. Pujols is having what most would say is a seriously down year and yet I think you would be hard pressed to find a GM that would take Howard over this lesser version of Pujols. Congrats to Howard on his achievement.
