Just found out for business I get to go to Cooperstown for a few days in early September. Great thing is I get to set up my own accommodations. So any suggestions for where to stay? I was talking to someone who said there are some log cabin rentals on a campground near by? Any one ever stayed there? Only thing I request is no bed and breakfasts as I will be returning home extremely late a few of the nights and I rather not deal with that crap

Thanks in advance for any tips tricks you may share.

There is a KOA campground at the north end of Otsego Lake which is about 10 miles from town. There is also another campground outside of town to the south, don't quote me on that since I never went to any of them since I live 35 minutes away. Are you looking for cards, if you are only go to Yaz sports as he is the only one that has reasonable prices on stuff.

if work is paying, I would stay at the Otesaga. Walking distance to the Hall and everything else.

While they are, not sure I can pull that off. That would extend my budget a bit, besides I will have my car so traveling a bit wont bother me. Thank you for advice but I am looking for something more reasonable, and when I heard about the campground I figured it would give me other crap to do in my down time since there is the HOF and not much else.

But when I return with a few more people I would consider that place, looks totally legit!

Shoot me a PM if you change your mind about a B&B. My family owns one a few miles from Main Street. If they have an opening I can try to get you an "FCB" rate.

Dude we spent 3 days in Cooperstown, 2 days at the Hall and 1 day in all the shops. I was in heaven one day I will live there. I check Zillow all the time and see if there is anything reasonable to get my parents to move lol nothing so far......
That place is absolutely perfect except I would not get to attend as many baseball games as I do now living 20 minutes from Busch Stadium. I pulled 3 Jersey cards in the shops there (spent nearly 500 dollars on cards and I was 13 saved money from Christmas and birthday :D My mom was Pis**d :D ) I ate the largest chunk of Lasanga ever at a little resturant on main street. Then got to see a Ferarri get soaked ( I think it was a Ferarri it may have been a Viper very nice convertible I know.....it started raining with the top down no owner in site and it poured) We went and had a bunch of Postcards cancelled at the Cooperstown Post Office hahaa.

My girl and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express about 10 minutes outside of town and it was fabulous. Check out the Ommegang Brewery while you're up there as it's well worth it.

Great beer!! I went there a few years ago and would recommend it.

Am I the only went who found the Hall boring? I went once, and was out within an hour.

I second the recommendation of the Holiday Inn Express. I stayed there during Rickey's induction, and as long as you have a car to get around, it's great. Plus, it had a pretty decent free breakfast.
