I believe you are 100% wrong, if you love your significant other then you will allow them to be an individual and cherish them for it.

Sorry. I enjoy all my hobbies with my wife. We enjoy tons of things together and she support my card habit 100%

Well I'm glad you found someone who likes card collecting but obviously that's not the norm. You understand that right? So what...you force your hobby on your wife in that case?

EDIT: Sorry...couldn't finish my thoughts as I was clocking out from work...

Do you then quit your hobby if it's something you and your spouse don't enjoy as a couple? I mean...what I get ticked about is a person jumping into your life and demanding you quit something. Or worse yet, acting really crappy to you in regards to it until you are miserable enough to quit. That's absolute crap in my mind. And as a guy who mostly likes guy type things, I don't expect to be down her throat about her doing girl things like shopping or makeup or watching certain stuff on tv. But I'm not going to say she needs to stop or it's a waste of money. She works just as hard as I do so who the hell am I to take that away? Who is she to do the same? But I don't think we have to do the hobby together for it to be allowed.

Two ridiculous hypotheticals that not a single sane person in the world believes.

Also, you seem to always use 2-3 massive paragraphs to explain 2-3 well written sentences worth of content?...

Not making fun or anything, J/w why...

Um. No. Have never forced the hobby on my wife. Never really thought about it. She supports me and I support her. Not consciously....its just w hat we do. We have a strong marriage. I can't believe I'm in the position of defending this.

And that's perfectly fine, no need to be sorry... :)

And no I don't quit things we don't enjoy as a couple. You are severely misguided. I've been married 15 years and it works. Not all women are wenches....

You're in the position of defending that a wife has to be a part of your hobby.

I just write what I think. Plus...a lot of folks forget they are on a message board and don't like reading. In fact a lot of people post here and leave me wondering what they meant because they didn't explain themselves more.

I'd beg to differ on the super long paragraph as the ones above were short and filled with what I believe to be decent thoughts. But yes, I do write a lot sometimes. And I don't mind reading long posts either.

We've all been wondering this for years

Seriously???

There's nothing wrong with it, it is what it is. You might be able to save a few seconds here and there by condensing....those seconds turn into days of extra time.

Even as Seniors, I have to constantly tell my students that id rather read a 1/2 page paper that is well written and gets all.of your points across than a 3 page paper that gets embellished and fluffed.

Some points need no explanation. Some do. Ones that do and left unexplained are worthless.

I dont mind reading your long posts, it literally takes a few seconds longer than a normal one. Its just like reading a persons' thought process which can be cool and can be boring ;)

From you...

Bottom line....if you love your sig. other then sprnd time with them doing anything!!!!!!

My point was, if you have a hobby, they don't have to be a part of it.

Fair enough. I was honestly j/w and you answered it clearly. Thanks. :)

Just for reference...see the exchange between Shanks and I. I think we are a lot closer in thought than it looks but trying to show that via a message board with brief exchanges is sometimes a hard nut to crack.

My wife actually asks me when we're going to rip some more wax. The scary part is she's becoming snobby and wants to rip more high end items now that have more hits versus regular, Topps, etc. One of the reason's I ended up marrying her...

Its not even that, Pred. Its unhealthy to spend 100% of your (free) time with your sig. or anyone for that matter.
