Morning everyone.

Get well soon Art, we will keep you in our prayers.

Ken - sorry to hear that. Are these really expensive/extensive repairs?

Okay, I'm thinking about a new long-term collecting project. What do you guys think of this plan?

100 Years of Baseball Cards Project

Main Goal: Collect 1 Graded PSA Slabbed Card for each year from 1900-1999 (100 cards total).
Secondary Goal: Collect 1 card of as many different teams as possible that played in the 20th Century (about 65 different).
PSA Grading Twist: Cards from 1900-1919 in PSA 1 slabs, 1920-1929 in PSA 2 slabs, 1930-1939 in PSA 3 slabs, 1940-1949 in PSA 4 slabs, 1950-1959 in PSA 5 slabs, 1960-1969 in PSA 6 slabs, 1970-1979 in PSA 7 slabs, 1980-1989 in PSA 8 slabs, 1990-1999 in PSA 9 slabs.
Other Considerations: Collect only base cards that represent the design of that years cards. All cards from 1951-1999 would be Topps, cards from other years would try to represent most popular/widely distributed sets of the year. Try to collect commons and semistars in poses that showcase the team's uniform the best (full body shots instead of head shots). Try to keep costs to about $20-$40 per card for 1900-1959, $10-$20 per card for 1960-1999.

I think this would be a fun and educational collection, feeding my love of baseball history and card designs. All cards being in PSA slabs would display well, and it's a very doable project - although 1900-1903 is limited. I'm thinking of doing about 2-3 cards per month, so this could be a 3 or 4-year project. The grades are a little soft, but that keeps price down and actually the grades by decade work out pretty well.

Good Morning Gents! Getting ready to start the work week and hope it flies by. I started jogging yesterday and my goal is to build up to running 2 miles a day for 5 days each week. Was able to do a mile yesterday but it winded me like no other.

Art - very best of luck at the hospital and I hope it is something minor. Keep us posted, we all care about ya!

Ken - Sorry to hear about the flooding and the HVAC going out. I hope the repairs go well and the damage is not too bad. Hopefully he cards and books damaged are replaceable as well.
