So...I'd told myself I wasn't going to collect Ryan's cards in uniforms other than the Cardinals. I was mistaken. I can't help myself when really low numbered cards pop up. I justified it as if I change my mind later about finishing all the cards for his career then I can go back and clean up the easier to get stuff but I might never see these again.

So I snagged 3 of the 5 Red Variations in a couple weeks timeframe and grabbed a Black Ray Wave (I think) /10 as well. I may or may not have a 4th Red variation on the way. I can't tell which is a Red Ray Wave (think the one pictured last is) and which is a Red Lava from pictures so I may have the Red Lava showing up in a couple days or it may be a second Red Ray Wave or they may both be Red Lavas...I'm starting to remember why I wasn't going to collect modern anymore.

Appreciate the help. I actually got the Red Lava in the mail today and in hand the differences are apparent. Now I know what to look for in pictures. I believe I still need the Red Geometric Refractor as well to have all 5 Red parallels. Topps is getting more and more like Panini every year.

I also picked up the the 2025 Holiday Green Glitter parallel /5 and it came in today too. It's been a nice couple of maildays.

Was tough to watch this guy in the World Series last year against the Dodgers. Seems like he was always coming up with a clutch hit. These are a great set design too and most of them are not cheap enough for me to chase. /15.

Every so often I see some crazy hits posted on social media. I went to the local Walmart by my mom's place last night to get her a few things. They have one shelf of cards. There were three 2026 Heritage blasters, so I grabbed them.

While not crazy more very lucky or bad packaging by Topps. I hit these, one in each blaster:

George Karl. Very happy to get this one as standard ebay shipping was showing weird updates and thought it might be lost. I stole it for less than $5! Karl is getting up there in age, doesn't seem to have a ton of certified auto stuff and is a piece of Seattle basketball history.

Thank you! None of the Excel sell sheets I've found on my searches had checklists.
Neither of the two have been parallel autographs, just the base auto versions.
I would love to see a full checklist.

1991 Rawlings Gold Glove Hologram - Silver Star made some awesome holograms back in the day. I'm putting this one with my Ozzie Smith collection.

Variety of mostly autos. The Stargell is a Donruss Recollections, but is not signed. I wonder if he died before they were sent or maybe he didn't sign and they were returned and still packed out or back doored. It's /10 and I felt it was worth grabbing.

1994 Playoff Sayers. This card was a NNO insert from this set and the annual Krause and Beckett guides say some were also autographed. Oddly, I can't find any further detail on the two cards other than stating there was an autographed version. The regular insert is plentiful. At the time, autographs from packs were still in their infancy and this would have been an amazing pull from this product.

Although I can't find a known/certified pack pulled copy to match, it appears the signed version was probably not distinguished in any way from the regular NNO insert copy. So, someone could have easily had Sayers sign a regular insert later and it could be difficult or impossible to tell the difference. I do see some on ebay with diagonal signatures and found one signed that way where the seller said he got it personally signed. This could be further proof that he originally signed them horizontally across the card and later diagonally in person? This signature looks very close to the 1994 Signature Rookie signatures cards from the same year and also pack inserted, so I believe this one may be one of the original pack pulled signed inserts. However, I do not know this for certain.



1994 UD All-Time Heroes George Brett. One of four different autographed subjects in this early retro issue, the others being Reggie Jackson, Tom Seaver and Mickey Mantle. Again, fairly early in the pack pulled autograph game, these are still very affordable in most instances. I have 3 of 4. Can you guess who I am missing? Brett signed 2X the others, who each signed 1000 copies.

A 2022 Elite Extra Edition auto. That I pulled in 2022 and had totally forgot about. The real kicker? It's a sticker auto!

For the first time in many years, I am not waiting on any redemptions. I think.

I have sworn off redemptions, but I would only have one if I bought it intentionally, since I stopped buying packs. Panini, Fleer and UD screwed me so badly on past redemptions I never received that I will never fall for that racket again. The fact that they never had to redeem certain cards and randomly substituted other items they felt were of equal value is the worst part and frankly should be illegal.
