::oops::
I would like to get in on this for around 10 cards, maybe a few more (this is better pricing than the "repeat customer" deal I was offered for this month). How do you figure out what to insure for the return shipment to us (or is there no insurance purchased)? I don't see if you're...
My advice...get out while you can. ;)
I will echo the sentiment above to buy the card and not the holder. You will ultimately be more proud of your collection if you buy vibrant, well centered cards rather than some poor excuse for a PSA 6.
If I were building a set, I would probably focus on...
If this guy was saying he never got the card, that's one thing (that you may have been screwed about).
But he's claiming that someone used his account without his knowledge to buy the gift card. Since apparently all the communication transpired through ebay, there may be hope.

While I'm fairly skeptical of Braun's actual "innocence" I don't think most people understand WHY chain of custody matters. It's not a technicality, it's a legitimate reason to question results.
In an interview with a doctor I heard during the leaks, the severely high levels of his testosteron...
Pretty much any "authentic" grade, unless it's an autographed card, means that it's been altered in some way. The only legitimate exception is "hand cut" cards (cards cut from a strip of other cards, for instance) that could only be a single card if cut out from its original form.

Everytime I send a card with delivery confirmation and insurance in a bubble mailer, it costs me at least $2.87 in just actual shipping. I only charge $2.75 because I don't care about the pennies and don't want to give buyers excuses to give unfair feedback.
I use new mailers when selling, but...
They will definitely grade unpeeled. Here's an example:

What kind of guidelines do they give you? Do they just give you a list of players and you choose what to make, or do they give you some photos they own the rights to and make you create from that?
Forgot which set (I'll have to pull it out to see the back):
Also, you didn't mention my favorite set of sketch cards, the Allen & Ginter Dick Perez minis. Sorry, don't have one to show off.

Seems like a fair price for a low numbered card with that many game used pieces.
Interesting read.
Also, I don't know if you heard, but La Russa is managing the National team (not Matheny).

With a print run of 500, if you priced it at $500 you would have no problem selling them (I would likely buy one at that price). If you priced it at $1000 with a 500 print run, it won't be as easy to sell them all. A lot of the appeal will depend on how it looks in the end.
The piece I keep...
