I'll post a photo of my sports-themed vinyl collection when I get home. A few more songs: Google Bob Dylan Theme Time baseball episode. Some good deeeeeep tracks on that mix, all obviously baseball themed.

That "Talkin Baseball" has to be the worst song I've ever heard. Each version worse than the last.
I'll second Ron's post about that CD on Amazon. Almost every song I was going to suggest is on there.
The cream of the crop are:

I'm with you, tpeichel. In fact I was watching the 20-2 Red Sox vs Athletics game the other night thinking "If only the Sox had scored 19 more runs they would've had this game"
I'll suggest Alex Gordon so we can go ahead and eliminate Nick Markakis from the roster. And let's throw in Shin-Soo Choo and Cameron Maybin for good measure in case Markakis8 finds a new technicality to include Markakis.
I've written about this on the FCB homepage. If you aren't ridiculously wealthy in 2012 you have to define/limit your collection (particularly player collections). I'm happy to just buy Topps products of one of the guys I collect and leave the rest. For this particular guy I can't get enough...
Anyone have the original Frank Thomas Corinthian Headliner (single action figure, not in a set - green cardboard backing, not light blue)? Came out around 96 or 97? I once owned one, I might still have it but I can't find it and it's driving me insane.
I don't think it's the best rookie card of a great player (Cano, etc). Iconic implies more than that. The Gregg Jeffries RC is iconic while the Tom Glavine and Roberto Alomar RCs from the SAME SET are not.
We need to define iconic as fame relative to era with moderate attainability thrown in...
It's interesting to me that so many people are averse to the idea that the qualifications for "iconic" might change over time.
I might write about this thread for my next thing on the FCB homepage.
Marrero probably doesn't stay a shortstop either.
I've really liked their past 3 drafts. They've spent a lot, but smart, and targeted USA guys.
I guess Rubby De La Rosa isn't considered a prospect anymore?
