The last one sold for $91 on EBAY.. I would say around $100 give or take..

I have been picking up some of the 500 HR cards so when there is a local signing, I can get one signed.. so far I just have the Eddie Murray signed..
There are a few others on here that are trying to do the same..

I tried for the 99 Upper Deck Piece of History auto/bat 1/9 at the Ted Williams auction at Fenway today but got outbid at $4500. It sold for $5500 which would still be a steal until you consider the fact that you pay a 15% premium and because the auction is in Mass, you pay 8% sales tax, making the card almost $7,000.

: ( After the Ruth went for just $7500, I figured the Ted might be won for right around $3500 actually.

The sale on that Ruth was shocking. Had I thought it would go nearly that low, I would have found a way to put the money together and place a bid.

The Williams went around where expected (to me anyways) with the buyer's premium. I thought there was a chance the fact that Williams owned the card might bump it up a bit higher, but still not a bad price IMO.

I would have gladly paid $5500 for the Williams as well but yeah, the premium and Mass sales tax bump the price up quite a bit.

Do you think another Williams will ever pop up again, Top? I almost want to buy some of those Retro tins and chase one lol.

Everything shows up sooner or later, doesn't it... Though in this case there's a decent chance it is not until much later. Those cards from the beginning of the game used days are tough. It's why I went for the Aaron 3000 club GU auto. You just don't know when you'll see another.
