Well if BDP orange not an option then I lean auto version card

Don't know yet how the public will accept the new Topps product
Will it be hot or will it be like regular Topps base?

Now realizing BDP not an option to the discussion, why compare Razor auto versus lesser options? Kind of a slap in face

It's like comparing an average looking chick versus the average looking chick's
cousin who you didn't see yet but are basing it on genetics

Because BDP is not an option. The exclusives are going to be in pro debut. Thus the comparison.

You are on fire today. Thank number 2

All,

I am done sitting on a message board trying to talk to collectors when there is no moderated way to do so without a couple of people disrupting positive discussions. Topps and the other guys may have been right. Their absence says, "Screw the collector. He is just an ATM for us and we don't need to associate ourselves with those people. We can make what we want and they'll buy it just as the Pied Piper convinced the rats to follow the music."

I have asked Gilmore to cancel the Razor account. I can be reached at [email protected].

I will not be monitoring the boards regularly, however I invite you to email me any thread that needs my attention.

You want another manufacturer who doesn't interact with the customer through message boards?
You succeeded.

Thanks to those that support us.
And, thanks to those (intelligent, constructive) critical people who helped us correct mistakes and learn tons.

I will send all press releases and information to Gilmore so that he can post as appropriate.

Thanks again and I do hope I have the chance to meet a few of my FCB friends in person someday (espcially NYCrules, Jeff N. and a few others).

Trust me, Im so done. I have never been so floored by participants of an industry as I am right now.
You guys don't need manufacturers. I am certain all the problems with the hobby can be fixed by hobbyist without the manufacturers participating. Someday, Razor's one major step as a pioneer will have been in customer interaction.

An obvious veiled threat of violence. Like I said Brian, your true colors.

This discussion has really not been that bad. I don't see what you are up in arms about.

NO, ACTUALLY I would like to debate you in person when you are not hiding behind a computer screen.
I have a feeling it would be quite a different situation.
MY true colors are none of your concern and well documented in the hobby in last 25 years (before your birth?).

Constructive criticism -----

stop saying you are leaving and keep coming back

I wish you wouldn't leave -- seriously
I like a lot of what you have to say but this has to be the 3rd or 4th time you did this

It reminds me of the kid who quits the pick up football game and takes his ball home with him and cries to his mom how all bullied him

You do not have a clean slate when it comes to playing by the rules either (ie thread you started about cutting cards where it was a round about way of attacking Topps) so quit trying to make it seem as if you are the mature one on a high horse and that the mods here are messing up

He will be back when he has something to sell.

This is the 4th or 5th I'm leaving thread he has done.

But when a new product comes out... guess who starts posting again.

Remember when weekends were family time? What is today?

This discussion has really not been that bad. I don't see what you are up in arms about.

Collectors want the manufacturers to care. Then, when they participate, it is not an orderly industry discussion. Rather, it is personal attacks, libelous statements and not constructive in any way.

IF BG or a rep from Razor can go the rest of 2009 and the entire 2010 calendar year without posting here OR sending anyone here a PM I will have a contest on 12/31/10 for all of my Razor Sig Series cards

Do I want to give away my cards? --- NO!
Do I want BG to leave? -- NO!

But history has a way of repeating itself

Gilmo is closing account today, so Razor will NOT have the ability to post.

Anyone can see your statement was a veiled threat. Keep digging that hole Brian, you're only proving my point further. Thank you.

Another place you guys are dead wrong. 99% of our non-baseball product is pruchased by people OUTSIDE FCB.
I don't NEED FCB to sell out products. I do like the idea of grassroots marketing, but not at the current cost.
Your inappropriate reference to my family coincidentally is a piece of why I cannot spend the time here unless productive.

But then why a comparison between an auto card versus a non auto?

Why not ask, which would you rather have a Razor base card versus a Topps Debut base card?

The Razor Metal gold is basically one of the best possible cards to get from Razor (maybe behind a 1/1 Letterman and /5 Sig Serious auto) and it gets compared to a non auto card in another product?
It just seems like a rigged poll --- Wouldn't most want a /25 auto card verus a non auto card that isn't a BDP super/orange/red?

I'm not sure why this poll was created the way it was (it seems initially that the question would have largely favored Razor Gold Auto/25, but after disecting it further I think it backfired due to the discussion that ensued). What I do believe is that if the Razor Gold Auto/25 were in comparison with an unauto'ed B.Chrome orange/25 that the B.Chrome orange unauto/25 would be favored hand's down, but since Topps Pro Debut is a new product I think some are hesitant as they're unsure of what to expect.

I'm basing my opinion off of the thought that this new Topps product will be favored by the hobby as a sister product to the Bowman Chrome brand, & therefore will carry value's that are closely equivalent to that of B.Chrome. It is also my belief that there are MANY collector's that want to get thier hand's on a licensed version of the "exclusive" player's that Razor signed (& whether the license being MILB or not it still bear's the Topps brand-name, which in turn is comforting/appeasing to those buyer's that were uneasy of buying into the Razor brand because they feared it turning out to be what it actually has turned into being!).
