Are you sure you aren't talking about the 1989 ones Pinbreaker? Those are ones, although somewhat difficult to locate, that are out there in the open market, even a few on ebay. I hadn't heard of anyone pulling a 1990 one.

Pretty sure that's the case.

I pretty much sum the set up as a scrapped product that were printed up the same time as the 1989 Buybacks. I think they were going to insert them into 2010 UD like they did with 2009 UD, but they decided to forego the idea and went with the 10 player Buybacks listed on 2010 UD checklist.

That's my theory after contacting several card shop owners and those with the knowledge.

I've seen the Edgar and a few others on eBay and COMC, but all those are 1989 Buybacks.

I contacted you on Beckett when you first posted these, I am still interested in the Puckett's if you are looking to move them.

Well, now that you're here, let's see some scans!!!! 8-)

I have them packed up and in the storage at the moment. I might go pull them out if they're accessible.

I will however go pick up some supplies today.

Correct shipping goes as follows:

Card > Penny sleeve > Top loader > Bubble mailer

Right?

How does free DC work? I have to print via Paypal?

looks like they were never packed out because of the lawsuit so someone just took the box from the factory as a whole

How again did you know this one had these cards in there?

I really didn't. I've told this story plenty of times, I'll give you the condensed version.

I go out "picking" with my Pops on the weekends, went to an Estate that had vintage Minnesota Vikings memorabilia, didn't pick anything up. There were a few garage sales going on in this same neighborhood, I went to the first two and there was absolutely nothing to my liking so I went back to the car while my dad walked a few houses down to the last garage sale. He waved me over when he seen a pull up bar I've been looking for, and I got out and walked over. I bought the pull up for $5.

There was a small box of 1990 Upper Deck SETS and other memorabilia under the table. I ask the seller "how much?" for the box, he gives me a price, and I counter saying "the cards are overproduced, I'll give you $XX" and he agreed. I give him the cash and he says "too bad the cards weren't one year earlier or I would of kept them." Meaning Griffey's rookie. I went home to check them out and noticed the 20th Anniversary hologram, and began researching, though research I ended up at Brad's blog, signed up at Beckett to ask for help ID'ing, packed them up for my move, and finally signed up here.

That's how it went down, and yes I did say "sets". I posted the picture above for a reason to see if anyone picked up on it.

So, both sets you picked up have the 20th anniversary stamp?

So judging from the box, I guess Upper Deck just cracked an original 1990 factory set, ran them through the Genuine 20th Anniversary Stampinator (patent pending) and put them back in the box afterwards.

In any case, when you're planning to unload them, I'm interested in several cards.

I'm going to try to get over to the storage tonight before it closes at 6:30pm, so I can take some pictures for a couple members.

Actually, I'll go right now since it's already 5pm and I have to move some stuff to get to them.

I'll get back at you guys in a little bit.

If the Brett, Schmidt, Mattingly, Keith Hernadez', Gary Carter's, Strawberry and/or Gooden become available, please keep me in mind.

although we've exchanged several PMs on Beckett, I'd love to see a good shot of the Butler.
