2010 Topps Allen & Ginter Case Break - From a hobby store direct account...
I thought I would try to do something a little different with this group break,
All teams start at $50
You pick the team you want. If 31 people pick 31 different teams, all the teams sell for $50 a spot.
BUT
If 2 or more people want the same team, they will bid for the team.
Bidding ends as soon as all 31 spots are taken.
If at any time, I check the bids of all the teams and the teams combined bids are over $1550, that total minus $1550 will be divided equally amongst the teams with 1 or no buyers..
I will update the list of teams with high bidder and price.
(I will not make any more money from teams being bid up). Once a team had 2 bidders it cannot be discounted anymore, so, as the break is being filled, the price of some teams will go up & and the teams with 1 or 0 bidders will go down.
The bidding stops as soon as all 31 spots are bid on.
I will update the current prices whenever I see it.. example, Say this is the first time around, if 11 teams have 2 or more bids, I will add up all the bids and just say if it adds to $1800, I will take the difference of $300 and divide it amongst the teams with 1 or no bids which in this case would be 20 teams so 300/20 = $15ea so I would take $15.00 off the starting price to make it $35 for the remaining teams and this process keeps happening until there are 2 bidders to a team.
But as soon as all 31 spots are bid on, That's when bidding ends...
So if there is a frenzy of bids at the end, and total price is over 1550, I will discount the overage to everyone in whole dollars.
Please post the team you want and your bid.
If 2 people bid the same team and amount, the person who submitted 1st get the bid
Please make bid increments of at least $2.00 (whole dollars only). The price you bid is the price that is shown,
if current bid is $55 and you bid $70, the new price is $70
Please don't bid if you won't be able to participate as it would be unfair to others as each bid affects everyone's price.
Let's make this fun!
plmk if there are any questions
